Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British limited series MaryLand created by Suranne Jones & Anne-Marie O’Connor and starring Jones herself, Eve Best, Stockard Channing, Dean Lennox Kelly, George Costigan, Hugh Quarshie and Andrew Knott. The show’s original music is composed by Samuel Sim (The Spanish Princess, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, The Bay, The Halcyon, Anne, The Long Call, Home Fires). Check out our scoring assignment announcement to learn more about the 3-part drama, which premiered in the UK last year on ITV (and ITVX) and is making its U.S. debut on PBS as part of the Masterpiece series.

Premiering on Wednesday, May 8, is the Apple TV+ original series Dark Matter created by Blake Crouch and starring Joel Edgerton, Jennifer Connelly, Alice Braga, Jimmi Simpson, Dayo Okeniyi and Oakes Fegley. Jason Hill (Mindhunter, City on Fire,  Them: The Scare, The Confession Killer, Extrapolations, Love, Death & Robots, Voir) has composed the show’s original music. ‘Star Wars: The Bad Batch’ Season 3 – Vol. 2 (Episodes 9-15) Soundtrack Album Details

The details of the second soundtrack album for the third season of Lucasfilm’s Disney+ original animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch have been revealed. The album features selections of the original music from the final seven episodes of the show’s final season composed by Kevin Kiner (Ahsoka, Star Wars: The Clone Wars & Rebels, Narcos: Mexico, Doom Patrol, Titans, Hell on Wheels, CSI: Miami). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 3 Walt Disney Records and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. The label has previously four albums featuring Kiner’s music from Season 1 and Season 2 in 2021 and 2023. Star Wars: The Bad Batch is created by Dave Filoni and stars Dee Bradley Baker, Michelle Ang, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Jimmi Simpson, Noshir Dalal and Wanda Sykes.

‘Descendants: The Rise of Red’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Walt Disney Records has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the Disney+ original movie Descendants: The Rise of Red. The album features the songs from the film performed by the movie’s cast, including seven new original tracks, two reprises, and a cover of So This Is Love from the animated classic Cinderella. Also included is a score suite written by the project’s composer Torin Borrowdale (Locke & Key, Searching, Five Days at Memorial). The soundtrack will be released on July 12 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track (What’s My Name (Red Version) performed by China Anne McClain & Kylie Cantrall) is already available to stream/download now. Check out the official music video after the jump. Descendants: The Rise of Red is directed by Jennifer Phang and stars Cantrall, Rita Ora, Malia Baker, Brandy, Ruby Rose Turner, Dara Reneé, Joshua Colley, Peder Lindell, Morgan Dudley, Jeremy Swift, Paolo Montalban, Grace Narducci, McClain, Leonardo Nam and Melanie Paxson.

‘Shardlake’ Soundtrack Album Released

Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album for the British Hulu/Disney+ original series Shardlake. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Alex Heffes (The Last King of Scotland, Queen of Katwe, The Regime, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, Touching the Void, The Rite, State of Play). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s main theme after the jump. Shardlake is written by Stephen Butchard based on C.J. Sansom’s popular novels and stars Arthur Hughes, Sean Bean, Anthony Boyle, Babou Ceesay, Ruby Ashbourne Serkis, Paul Kaye, Matthew Steer, Brian Vernel, Peter Firth, David Pearse, Miles Barrow, Irfan Shamji, Mike Noble and Kimberley Nixon.

‘See You in Another Life’ Soundtrack Album Released

Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album for the Spanish Disney+/Hulu limited series See You in Another Life (Nos vemos en otra vida). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Olivier Arson (The Candidate, The Beasts, Madre, Riot Police, Piggy, The Zone) & Abel Hernández. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to the composers’ first track (1993-2014) below. See You in Another Life is created by Jorge & Alberto Sánchez-Cabezudo and stars Roberto Gutiérrez, Quim Ávila and Pol López as Emilio Trashorras. The 6-part crime drama adaptation of the book by Manuel Jabois based on the interview he conducted with Gabriel Montoya Vidal (“Baby”) about his link to the biggest jihadist attack committed on European soil on March 11, 2004.

Premiering tonight is the HBO original documentary series The Jinx – Part Two directed by Andrew Jarecki. The show’s original music is composed by Mondo Boys (She Dies Tomorrow, Phoenix Forgotten, Fatman, The Girlfriend Experience, Red Right Hand, Silk Road). The follow-up to 2015’s The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst continue the filmmaker’s investigation for the next eight years, uncovering hidden material, Durst’s prison calls, and interviews with witnesses who had not come forward earlier. The 6-parter will air Sundays on HBO and will also be available to stream on Max.

Premiering tomorrow, April 22, is the Disneynature documentary Tiger directed by Mark Linfield, co-directed by Vanessa Berlowitz & Rob Sullivan and narrated by Priyanka Chopra. Nitin Sawhney (Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle, The Namesake, Breathe, What’s Love Got to Do With It?, Traitors, A Girl from Mogadishu) has composed the film’s original music. Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Alex Heffes Scoring Hulu’s & Disney+’s ‘Shardlake’

Composer Alex Heffes (The Last King of Scotland, Queen of Katwe, The Rite, Touching the Void, State of Play) is reuniting with director Justin Chadwick on the new British Hulu/Disney+ original series Shardlake. The show is written by Stephen Butchard (The Last Kingdom, Baghdad Central) based on the popular novels by C.J. Sansom, directed by Chadwick (The Other Boleyn Girl, Tulip Fever) and stars Arthur Hughes, Sean Bean, Anthony Boyle, Babou Ceesay, Paul Kaye, Ruby Ashbourne Serkis, Matthew Steer, Peter Firth, Brian Vernel, David Pearse, Irfan Shamji, Miles Barrow, Mike Noble and Kimberley Nixon. The 4-part murder mystery is set in 16th century England during the dissolution of the monasteries and follows the title character whose sheltered life as a lawyer is turned upside down when he gets instructed to investigate the murder of one of his commissioners at a monastery.

‘The Secret Score’ Soundtrack Album Released

Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album for the Mexican Disney+ original series The Secret Score (La partitura secreta). The album features the songs from the show performed by cast members including Val Dorantes, JuanMa Piano, Michelle Almaguer, Leonardo Lotina, Daniel Ábrego, Natalia Coronado and Mónica Plehn. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Also check out the music video for Cambia after the jump. The Secret Score is created by Marina Efron & Carmen López-Areal and follows a group of teens who find a musical score that grants them magical powers and try to keep it secret, not knowing that someone with dark intentions is looking for it.

Nitin Sawhney Scoring Disneynature’s ‘Tiger’

Nitin Sawhney (The Namesake, Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle, What’s Love Got to Do With It?, Breathe, Lila Says, Traitors, A Girl from Mogadishu) has composed the original music for the new Disneynature documentary Tiger. The film is directed by Mark Linfield (Penguins, Monkey Kingdom), co-directed by Vanessa Berlowitz (Elephant, Queens) & Rob Sullivan and lifts the veil on our planet’s most revered and charismatic animal. The movie narrated by Priyanka Chopra Jonas follows Ambar, a young tigress raising her cubs in the fabled forests of India.

‘Madu’ Soundtrack Released

Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album for the Disney+ original documentary Madu. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jackson Greenberg (Cartel Land, City of Ghosts, AKA Jane Roe, Let Me Be Me, Hot Girls Wanted: Turned On). The soundtrack is now available to stream on Amazon Music and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s title track below. Madu is directed by Matt Ogens & ‘Kachi Benson and follows 12-year-old Anthony Madu as he leaves his family and community in Nigeria to study at one of the most prestigious ballet schools in the world in England and finds himself thrust into a new world where his wildest dreams are suddenly within reach.
