Opening in theaters nationwide today is the superhero movie Thunderbolts* directed by Jake Schreier and starring Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour,Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, Hannah John-Kamen, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Lewis Pullman, Chris Bauer, Geraldine Viswanathan and Wendell Edward Pierce. The film’s original music is composed by Son Lux (Ryan Lott, Ian Chang & Rafiq Bhatia) (Everything Everywhere All at Once, The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, Paper Towns). Hollywood Records & Marvel Music have released a soundtrack album featuring the band’s score this past Wednesday. Opening semi-wide in around 900 theaters today is the psychological thriller The Surfer directed by Lorcan Finnegan and starring Nicolas Cage, Julian McMahon, Alexander Bertrand, Nic Cassim, Justin Rosniak and Miranda Tapsell. François Tétaz (Wolf Creek, Hesher, Judy & Punch, Rogue, The Portal) has composed the film’s original music. Rubber Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today and Impressed Recordings will release a vinyl edition in the coming weeks. The film is directed by Felipe Vargas and stars Emeraude Toubia, David Dastmalchian, José Zúñiga, Diana Lein, Emilia Fauche and Paul Ben-Victor. The movie revolves around a woman who spends the night with her grandmother’s body while she waits for the ambulance to arrive, when she gets attacked by otherworldly entities that have taken control of her grandmother’s body.

Wayfind Records has released a soundtrack album for the British romantic crime thriller/comedy Marmalade. The album features the film’s original music composed by Brooke Blair & Will Blair (Green Room, Rebel Ridge, I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore, Blue Ruin, Hold the Dark, The Informer, Black Christmas, Wheelman). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Also listen to the composers’ opening titles track below. Marmalade is written and directed by Keir O’Donnell and stars Joe Keery, Camila Morrone and Aldis Hodge. The movie follows a recently incarcerated man who strikes up a friendship with his cellmate, a man with a well-versed history of prison breaks, and – as they hatch an escape plan – recalls the story of how he met the love of his life and their scheme to rob a bank in order to care for his sick mother.

Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the streamer’s original film Rebel Ridge. The album features the movie’s original music composed by Brooke Blair & Will Blair (Green Room, Blue Ruin, I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore, Hold the Dark, The Informer, Black Christmas, Sweet Virginia). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 6 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Rebel Ridge is written and directed by Jeremy Saulnier and stars Aaron Pierre, Don Johnson, AnnaSophia Robb, David Denman, Emory Cohen, Steve Zissis, Zsané Jhé, Dana Lee and James Cromwell. The film starring Peter Dinklage, Jacob Tremblay, Taylour Paige, Kevin Bacon, Julia Davis and Elijah Wood is based on Troma Entertainment’s 1984 cult classic of the same title and follows a struggling everyman who is pushed into a vat of toxic waste and transformed into a mutant freak who must go from shunned outcast to underdog hero as he races to save his son, his friends and his community from the forces of corruption and greed.

Also included is the Night Stalker-inspired song Under Your Skin by moa. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 5 and will be available to stream/download here. Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer is directed by Tiller Russell and tells the true story of how one of the most notorious serial killers in American history was hunted down and brought to justice.
