The details of the soundtrack album for Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Age of Ultron have been announced. The album features the film’s original music composed by Brian Tyler (Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Furious 7, Now You See Me) and Danny Elfman (Spider-Man, Batman, Alice in Wonderland, Men in Black). The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 28, 2015 by Hollywood Records. A CD version will be coming out on May 19 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Avengers: Age of Ultron is written and directed by Joss Whedon and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johannson, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany and Cobie Smulders.

Opening in around 250 theaters is the drama Woman in Gold directed by Simon Curtis and starring Helen Mirren, Ryan Reynolds, Daniel Bruhl, Katie Holmes, Charles Dance, Elizabeth McGovern and Frances Fisher. The film’s original music is composed by Martin Phipps (Harry Brown, Brighton Rock) and Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Gladiator, Inception). No soundtrack album has been announced. Woman in Gold follows an elderly Jewish woman who fled Vienna during WWII and, sixty years later, starts her journey to retrieve family possessions seized by the Nazis, among them Klimt’s painting “The Lady in Gold”. Brian Tyler to Score ‘Now You See Me: The Second Act’
Brian Tyler is officially set to score the upcoming sequel Now You See Me: The Second Act. The film is directed by Jon M. Chu (G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Step Up 2 & 3D) and stars Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman who reprise their roles from the original movie. They are joined by Daniel Radcliffe, Lizzy Caplan and Jay Chou. The thriller takes place a year after the first part and follows the Four Horsemen who find themselves face to face with a new enemy who enlists them to pull off their most dangerous heist yet. Ed Solomon (Men in Black, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure) & Pete Chiarelli (The Proposal) have written the screenplay. Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci (Star Trek, Eagle Eye, Sleepy Hollow) are producing the project with Bobby Cohen (Revolutionary Road).
‘Star Trek: Enterprise’ Soundtrack Collection Announced
La-La Land Records has announced a new 4-CD soundtrack collection for the sci-fi series Star Trek: Enterprise starring Scott Bakula, John Billingsley and Jolene Blalock. The album features selections from the show’s original music written by composers Dennis McCarthy (Star Trek: Generations Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), Kevin Kiner (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, CSI: Miami), Jay Chattaway (Star Trek: Voyager), David Bell (Murder, She Wrote), Paul Baillargeon (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), Velton Ray Bunch (Magnum, P.I., Quantum Leap), Mark McKenzie (The Greatest Miracle), John Frizzell (Alien: Resurrection, The Following) and Brian Tyler (Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World). Also included is the series’ main titles song from the first season Where My Heart Will Take Me written by Diane Warren and performed by Russell Watson.

The show’s original music is composed by the Transcenders (Gossip Girl, Harry’s Law, Our Family Wedding, Joey). Brian Tyler & Tony Morales to Score CBS’ ‘Scorpion’
Brian Tyler and Tony Morales are scoring the new CBS drama Scorpion. The show is created by Nick Santora (Prison Break, Breakout Kings) and stars Elyes Gabel, Katharine McPhee, Robert Patrick, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Jadyn Wong and Ari Stidham. The series follows an eccentric genius and his team of brilliant misfits who comprise the last line of defense against complex, high-tech threats of the modern age. Santora is also executive producing the CBS Television Studios production with Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci (Star Trek, Alias), Nicholas Wootton (NYPD Blue, Chuck), Heather Kadin (Sleepy Hollow) Scooter Braun (Justin Bieber’s Believe) and Walter O’Brien. Justin Lin has directed the pilot episode and is also executive producing the project. The director has previously collaborated with Tyler on such films as Fast & Furious, Fast Five, Finishing the Game and Annapolis.
Brian Tyler Creates New Music for ESPN’s NFL Studio Shows
Brian Tyler has composed new theme music for ESPN’s NFL studio shows. The composer has written four original scores for ESPN-show-specific scores for three of the network’s NFL programs: Sunday NFL Countdown, NFL Live and NFL Insiders, as well as a general NFL Gridiron theme. The network has announced that Tyler’s music will be used within the respective shows and others, coming in and out of commercial breaks, in teases and as background music during highlight packages. Tyler’s work marks the first new original score for ESPN’s NFL shows since 1997. The composer’s music will debut on the season-opening edition of ESPN’s three-hour Sunday NFL Countdown pregame show on September 7.

Opening in most theaters is the action sequel The Expendables 3 directed by Patrick Hughes and starring Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas, Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, Dolph Lundgren, Kelsey Grammer, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The film’s music is composed by Brian Tyler (Iron Man 3, Fast & Furious, Thor: The Dark World) who previously scored the first two installments in the series. Lionsgate Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this werk and La-La Land Records will release a CD version later this month. Also opening wide is the sci-fi drama The Giver directed by Phillip Noyce and starring Brenton Thwaites, Odeya Rush, Jeff Bridges, Meryl Streep, Alexander Skarsgard, Taylor Swift, Cameron Monaghan, Emma Tremblay and Katie Holmes. Marco Beltrami (Scream, World War Z) has composed the film’s original score. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music.
