Premiering tomorrow, October 26, is the CBS drama Supergirl based on the DC Comics property, developed by Greg Berlanti, Ali Adler & Sarah Schechter and starring Melissa Benoist, Calista Flockhart, Mehcad Brooks, David Harewood and Chyler Leigh. The show’s original music is composed by Blake Neely (The Flash, Arrow, Blindspot, No Ordinary Family, The Mentalist, Life As We Know It). Premiering on Tuesday, October 27, is the new ABC drama Wicked City created by Steven Baigelman and starring Ed Westwick, Erika Christensen, Jeremy Sisto, Taissa Farmiga, Gabriel Luna, Anne Winters, Karolina Wydra, Evan Ross and Jaime Ray Newman. BT (The Fast and the Furious, Monster, Driven, Go, Catch and Release) and Mike DiMattia (Betrayal) are composing the show’s original music. ‘Arrow’ – Season 3 Soundtrack Announced

La-La Land Records will release a new soundtrack album for The CW superhero drama Arrow. The album features selections from original music from the show’s third season composed by Blake Neely (The Flash, Supergirl, Blindspot, No Ordinary Family, Life As We Know It). Also included is music from the crossover episode The Flash vs. Arrow. The soundtrack will be released on October 20 on the label’s official website and a week later in other music stores. Visit Amazon to pre-order the 2-CD set. The label has previously released a soundtrack for the show’s second season and an album featuring music from the first season is available on WaterTower Music. Arrow based on the DC Comics series stars Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy, David Ramsey and Willa Holland.

La-La Land Records will release the a soundtrack album for the CW hit series The Flash. The album features selections from the show’s original music of the first season composed by Blake Neely (Arrow, Supergirl, The Mentalist, Everwood). The soundtrack will be released physically as a 2-CD set on October 16, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A digital version is expected to be released by WaterTower Music. 3rd Annual Superhero Music Panel at Comic-Con Announced

The line-up of the 3rd Annual Musical Anatomy of a Superhero panel has been announced. Six leading Hollywood film and TV composers will offer a behind the scenes look at the music of today’s biggest superhero film and TV projects with unreleased film clips and never heard before music and discuss collaborating with the directors and the challenges involved in telling a story with music. Participating composers include Junkie XL aka Tom Holkenborg who recently scored the action hit Mad Max: Fury Road and has Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice coming up, Brian Tyler whose superhero film credits include Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, Thor: The Dark World and Iron Man 3, as well as Marco Beltrami who recently composed the music for the new Fantastic Four film adaptation and previously scored The Wolverine and Hellboy.

Blake Neely to Score CBS’ ‘Blindspot’

Blake Neely has been hired to score the upcoming NBC drama Blindspot. The show is created by Martin Gero (Stargate: Atlantis, Bored to Death) and stars Jaimie Alexander, Sullivan Stapleton, Audrey Esparza, Rob Brown, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Ukweli Roach and Ashley Johnson. The series centers around a beautiful woman, with no memories of her past, who is found naked in Times Square with her body fully covered in intricate tattoos. Greg Berlanti (Everwood, Brothers and Sisters, Life As We Know It) is producing the Warner Bros. Television production with Sarah Schechter (The Flash, The Mysteries of Laura) and Gero.

This week, Blake Neely has recorded his score for the pilot of the new CBS drama Supergirl. The show based on the DC Comics property centers on Kara Zor-El ,Superman’s cousin, who escaped from on the planet Krypton and was taken in by a foster family on Earth who taught her to be careful with her extraordinary powers. Melissa Benoist stars in the title role, alongside Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, David Harewood as Hank Henshaw and Chyler Leigh as Alexandra “Alex” Danvers. Supergirl Helen Slater and former Superman Dean Cain are guest starring in the pilot.

WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album for the crossover episode The Flash vs. Arrow from the CW hit series The Flash and Arrow. The album features selections from the 2-night event’s original music composed by Blake Neely (The Mentalist, Resurrection, The Pacific, Life As We Know It). The soundtrack is now available to download on iTunes, where you can also listen to audio clips. The Flash vs. Arrow premiered earlier this month as part of both superhero shows on The CW. The first season of The Flash currently airs every Tuesday night and the third season Arrow airs Wednesday nights on The CW.

Mulaney follows a 29-year old rising stand-up comic who is trying to take his career to the next level. The comedy will air every Sunday night on Fox.
