Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have composed the original score for the upcoming coming-of-age comedy drama Mid90s. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Jonah Hill and stars Sunny Suljic, Lucas Hedges, Na-kel Smith, Gio Galicia, Ryder McLaughlin, Alexa Demie, Katherine Waterston and Olan Prenatt. The movie revolves around a teenage boy who finds his scene when he meets an eclectic group of neighbourhood skateboarders.

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are attached to score the upcoming drama Waves. The film is written and directed by Trey Edward Shults (It Comes at Night) and is set to star Lucas Hedges and Sterling K. Brown. The movie follows two young couples as they navigate the emotional minefield of growing up and falling in love. It is being described as a “dramatic musical” and will also feature contemporary songs.

Discovery Channel will release a soundtrack album for the critically acclaimed series Manhunt: Unabomber. The album features selections from the show’s original score composed by Gregory Tripi (Dark Places, Rememory). Also included is the main titles theme written by Atticus Ross (The Social Network, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Gone Girl) & Nick Chuba. The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 15, 2017. The download link will be added to this page within the next two weeks. Sacred Bones Records & the Null Corporation will release a new version of John Carpenter‘s music from the horror classic Halloween by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Gone Girl, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo). Sacred Bones will also release the album Anthology: Movie Themes 1974 – 1998, which features Carpenter’s classic themes from Assault on Precint 13, The Fog, The Thing, Escape from New York, Christine & others, newly recorded with the same collaborators that Carpenter worked with on his hit Lost Themes studio albums.

Premiering in the U.S. tomorrow is the British mini-series The State written and directed by Peter Kosminsky and starring Sam Otto, Ryan McKen, Shavani Cameron, Ony Uhiara and Nana Agyeman-Bediako. The 4-parter’s original music is composed by Debbie Wiseman (Wolf Hall, Father Brown, Vampire Killers). The show centers on the lives of four British citizens who join ISIS in Syria.
