Martin Phipps (The Crown, Woman in Gold, War & Peace, The Aftermath, The Honourable Woman, Peaky Blinders) has recently been scoring the new Amazon anthology original series Solos. The show is created by David Weil (Hunters) and stars Helen Mirren, Anne Hathaway, Morgan Freeman, Uzo Aduba, Anthony Mackie, Constance Wu, Dan Stevens and Nicole Beharie. The 7-part sci-fi drama explores the depths of human connection through the lens of eight remote characters. Weil is also executive producing the project with Sam Taylor-Johnson (Nowhere Boy, 50 Shades of Grey) and Laura Lancaster (The Expanse, The Defiant Ones).

Weekly TV Music Roundup (May 2, 2021)
Premiering tonight is the third season of the Starz anthology series The Girlfriend Experience written and directed by Anja Marquardt (based on Steven Soderbergh’s feature of the same title) and starring Julia Goldani Telles. Matthew Pusti (A Good Woman Is Hard to Find, Whistleblower) has composed the original music for Season 3 and follows Shane Carruth and the Mondo Boys who scored the first two seasons. The third season, which is set amidst the London tech scene and follows a neuroscience major who begins to explore the transactional world of The Girlfriend Experience, only to find herself deep inside the uncanny valley with the relationships she creates, will air Sunday nights on Starz.
Premiering on Tuesday, May 4, is Lucasfilm’s Disney+ original series Star Wars: The Bad Batch created by Dave Filoni and starring Dee Bradley Baker, Ming-Na Wen, Stephen Stanton and Andrew Kishino. The show’s original music is composed by Kevin Kiner (Narcos: Mexico, Doom Patrol, CSI: Miami, Titans, City on a Hill, Making a Murderer) who previously scored all episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars (and the feature of the same title) and Star Wars Rebels. ‘Without Remorse’ Soundtrack Album Details
Paramount Music will release the official soundtrack album for the action thriller Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse. The album features the film’s original score composed by Sigur Rós frontman Jónsi (We Bought a Zoo, Aloha, Manhattan). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, April 30 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon. Without Remorse is directed by Stefano Sollima and stars Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Bell, Jodie Turner-Smith, Jacob Scipio, Luke Mitchell, Todd Lasance, Cam Gigandet, Jack Kesy and Brett Gelman. The movie, which tells the origin story of John Clark – one of the most popular characters in author Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan universe – follows an elite Navy SEAL who uncovers an international conspiracy while seeking justice for the murder of his pregnant wife.
‘Sound of Metal’ Soundtrack Album Details
The full details of the soundtrack album for the drama Sound of Metal have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by Abraham Marder & Nicolas Becker. Also included is Marder’s original song Green, which has previously been released as a digital single, two versions of the French song Cet Amour Me Tue performed by Arthur H’s & Martha Wainwright and actors Olivia Cooke & Mathieu Amalric, as well as Margaret Chardiet’s Purify and Riz Ahmed’s & Cooke’s performance of the track. The soundtrack is being released by Nonesuch Records and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music services. Sound of Metal is directed by Darius Marder and also stars Paul Raci and Lauren Ridloff.

Premiering on Thursday, April 29, is the Netflix original film Things Heard & Seen written and directed by Robert Pulcini & Shari Springer Berman and starring Amanda Seyfried, James Norton, Natalia Dyer, Alex Neustaedter, Rhea Seehorn and F. Murray Abraham. The movie’s original music is composed by Peter Raeburn (Woodshock, The Dry, Nancy, Tell Me Your Secrets, Molly Moon and the Incredible Book of Hypnotism, Photograph). Also premiering on Thursday is the Netflix anime series Yasuke created by LeSean Thomas and starring LaKeith Stanfield, Takehiro Hira, Maya Tanida, Ian Chen, Ming-Na Wen, Gwendoline Yeo, Noshir Dalal, Darren Criss, Paul Nakauchi and Dia Frampton. Flying Lotus has composed the show’s original music. Warp Records has released a digital single featuring the artist’s opening theme and closing credits music earlier this week. Goldfrapp’s Will Gregory to Score Amazon’s & BBC’s ‘Chloe’
Amazon Studios announced today that Will Gregory of Goldfrapp (featuring Adrian Utley of Portishead and Alison Goldfrapp) is set to score the upcoming BBC limited series Chloe. The show is created, written and directed by by Alice Seabright (Sex Education) and stars Erin Doherty, Billy Howle, Pippa Bennett-Warner, Jack Farthing, Poppy Gilbert, Akshay Khanna, Brandon Micheal Hall and Alexander Eliot. The 6-part psychological thriller follows a woman who compares herself to the picture-perfect lives on Instagram. When the owner of an account she obsessively follows dies suddenly, she needs to find out why and assumes a new identity.
‘Coming 2 America’ Score Album to Be Released
Def Jam Recordings will release a new soundtrack album for the comedy Coming 2 America. The album features the film’s original score composed by Jermaine Stegall (Our Star Wars Stories, Proximity, Jamesy Boy, Mono). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 16 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music stores. The label has previously released two separate soundtracks featuring the songs from and inspired by the movie. Coming 2 America is directed by Craig Brewer and stars Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, Jermaine Fowler, Tracy Morgan, Wesley Snipes, Leslie Jones, KiKi Layne, Shari Headley and James Earl Jones.
Soundtrack Album for Amazon Series ‘Them’ to Be Released
Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the Amazon horror anthology series Them. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Mark Korven (The Witch, The Lighthouse, Cube, The Terror: Infamy, In the Tall Grass). Also included are four songs performed by The Watts Wonders. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, April 9 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Them is created by Little Marvin and stars Deborah Ayorinde, Ashley Thomas, Alison Pill, Shahadi Wright Joseph, Melody Hurd and Ryan Kwanten. The first season of the series is set in the 1950s and follows a Black family who move from North Carolina to an all-white Los Angeles neighborhood, when their idyllic home becomes ground zero where malevolent forces threaten to taunt, ravage and destroy them.
Soundtrack Album for YouTube Premium/Amazon Series ‘Wayne’ Released
Steven Argila (Mad About You, Max Steel, Son of the South, Basmati Blues) has released a soundtrack album for the YouTube Premium series Wayne. The album features selections of the composer’s original score from the show and is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music stores), where you can also check out audio samples. Wayne is created by Shawn Simmons and stars Mark McKenna and Ciara Bravo. The comedy follows a 16 year-old Dirty Harry with a heart of gold as he sets out on a small two stroke road bike from Boston to Florida with his new friend to get back their 79′ Trans-Am that was stolen from his father before he died.

Premiering in the U.S. today is the Norwegian mini-series Atlantic Crossing written by Alexander Eik & Linda May Kallestein, directed by Eik and starring Sofia Helin, Kyle MacLachlan and Tobias Santelmann. The show’s original music is composed by Raymond Enoksen (Haunted, Ice Road Rescue). Dreamscore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last year when the 8-part drama premiered overseas. Also premiering tonight is the Fox TV special Malika the Lion Queen directed by Karin Slater and narrated by Angela Bassett. Jasha Klebe (Planet Earth II, The Black Godfather, Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom, Medal of Honor, Challenger Disaster: Lost Tapes) has composed the original music for the special. The documentary, which follows a powerful pride of lions in South Africa’s Kruger National Park and explores the exhilarating and harrowing life of lioness Malika, will air on Fox tonight.
