Opening in select theaters today is the horror movie In the Earth written and directed by Ben Wheatley and starring Joel Fry, Reece Shearsmith, Ellora Torchia and Hayley Squires. The film’s original music is composed by Clint Mansell (Requiem for a Dream, Black Swan, The Fountain, Noah, Rebecca, Moon, Titans, Doom Patrol). Lakeshore Records & Invada Records have released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the drama Monday co-written and directed by Argyris Papadimitropoulos and starring Sebastian Stan, Denise Gough, Yorgos Pirpassopoulos and Dominique Tipper. Alexis Grapsas (Trigonometry, Big Shot, Teacher) has composed the film’s original music. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score next Friday, April 23. The movie, which tells the story of two Americans in their mid-thirties living in Athens who meet in the heat of summer one whirlwind weekend, is being distributed by IFC Films.

Premiering tonight is the new HBO original series The Nevers created by Joss Whedon and starring Laura Donnelly, Ann Skelly, Olivia Williams, Tom Riley, James Norton, Rochelle Neil, Amy Manson, Eleanor Tomlinson, Pip Torrens, Denis O’Hare, Nick Frost and Ben Chaplin. The show’s original music is composed by Mark Isham (Crash, Once Upon a Time, Miracle, A River Runs Through It, Warrior, Judas and the Black Messiah, The Accountant). Check out our previous news article to learn more about the supernatural drama, which will air Sunday nights on HBO and will also be available to stream on HBO Max.

Also premiering tonight is the CNN docu-series The People v. The Klan written and directed by Donnie Eichar and executive produced by Cornell William Brooks, Donnie Eichar, Jason Blum, Jeremy Gold & Mary Lisio. Ceiri Torjussen (The Canal, Jack Goes Home, All Creatures Here Below, Test, Big Ass Spider!) and Jongnic Bontemps (United Skates, The Land, My Name is Pauli Murray, The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel) have composed the original music for the Blumhouse Television production. The 4-part series, which tells the story of Beulah Mae Donald, a Black mother in Alabama, who took down the Ku Klux Klan following the brutal lynching of her son in 1981, will air this and next Sunday on CNN.

Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the BBC and HBO Max original series Trigonometry. The album features the show’s original music composed by Alexis Grapsas (Monday, Pig). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Trigonometry is written by Duncan Macmillan & Effie Woods, directed by Athina Rachel Tsangari & Stella Corradi and stars Gary Carr, Ariane Labed and Thalissa Teixeira. The comedy drama is set in crowded, expensive London and follows a cash-strapped couple who open their small apartment to a third person, discovering a new way to live – and love – in the process.
