Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original film Army of the Dead. The album features the movie’s original music composed by Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) (Mad Max: Fury Road, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Deadpool, Godzilla vs. Kong, Alita: Battle Angel, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice). Also included Richard Cheese’s & Allison Crowe’s rendition of Viva Las Vegas. Music Box Records has announced a new soundtrack album and premiere CD release for the 1986 French comedy Family Council (Conseil de famille) directed by Costa-Gavras and starring Johnny Hallyday, Fanny Ardant and Guy Marchand. The album features the expanded and remastered original music from the film composed and conducted by Georges Delerue (Platoon, Twins, Steel Magnolias, Joe Versus the Volcano, Beaches). Also included is the composer’s score for the 1977 French thriller Focal Point (Le point de mire) directed by Jean-Claude Tramont and starring Annie Girardot and Jacques Dutronc. 52Hz has released the first-ever soundtrack album for the 2015 French war drama The Fear (La Peur) co-written and directed by Damien Odoul and starring Nino Rocher, Pierre Martial Gaillard, Théo Chazal, Eliott Margueron and Frédéric Buffaras. The album features the film’s original music composed by Colin Stetson (Hereditary, Color Out of Space, Blue Caprice, The First, Barkskins, Lavender, Outlaws and Angels). The album features two classic scores from 20th Century Fox productions composed by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Chinatown, Planet of the Apes, Patton, Poltergeist): The Stripper directed by Franklin J. Schaffner and starring Joanne Woodward, Richard Beymer, Claire Trevor & Carol Lynley and 1974’s S*P*Y*S directed by Irvin Kershner and starring Elliott Gould & Donald Sutherland. The latter score is expanded with previously unreleased material. Also included as a bonus track is the premiere release of Goldsmith’s cue Pacer’s Farewell from the 1960 western Flaming Star starring Elvis Presley. Hollywood Bowl 2021 Season Schedule Announced

hollywood-bowlThe Hollywood Bowl has announced this summer’s season schedule, which includes a number of film music concerts. On July 31, David Newman will conduct the Los Angeles Philharmonic for a performance of Mark Knopfler’s entire musical score for Rob Reiner’s The Princess Bride live-to-picture (click here for more details). John Williams will also return to the Bowl on September 3, 4 & 5 for the concert Maestro of the Movies. The composer himself, as well as David Newman will conduct some of Williams’ greatest hits performed by the LA Philharmonic. Visit the Hollywood Bowl’s website for more information about the concerts. On September 12, 13 & 14, the Bowl will host the world premiere of Black Panther in Concert. The 2-CD set features the expanded and remastered original score from the 20th Century Fox production composed and conducted by Michael Kamen (Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, The Three Musketeers, Mr. Holland’s Opus), including the composer’s score on the first disc and the original album tracks and additional music on the second disc.
