La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 2000 superhero movie X-Men directed by Bryan Singer and starring Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Famke Janssen, Anna Paquin, James Marsden, Bruce Davison, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos and Ray Park. The 2-CD set features the expanded and remastered original score from the 20th Century Fox production composed and conducted by Michael Kamen (Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, The Three Musketeers, Mr. Holland’s Opus), including the composer’s score on the first disc and the original album tracks and additional music on the second disc. Gaumont has released a soundtrack album for the French TV series The Art of Crime (L’art du crime). The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by Mathieu Lamboley (Lupin, A Minuscule Adventure, Daddy Cool, Sisters in Arms, Return of the Hero) who scored the last couple of seasons of the series. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. The Art of Crime is created by Angèle Herry-Leclerc & Pierre-Yves Mora and stars Nicolas Gob, Eleonore Bernheim, Philippe Duclos and Benjamin Egner. Disney announced today that Florence + The Machine has recorded the original song Call me Cruella for the studio’s live-action feature Cruella. The track is co-written by the film’s composer Nicholas Britell (Succession, Moonlight, The Big Short, If Beale Street Could Talk) and will be featured in the film and on both the original motion picture soundtrack and the original score album, which are set to be released on May 21 by Walt Disney Records.
