Chromium Music Group has announced a soundtrack album for the BBC nature documentary series Mammals. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Thomas Farnon (Our Planet, Super Eagles ’96, Fight the Power). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, May 10 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) announced today that Ramin Djawadi will be honored as a BMI Icon at the 40th Annual BMI Film, TV and Visual Media Awards on June 5, 2024 in Beverly Hills, CA. The Emmy Award-winning and Grammy Award-nominated composer will be receiving BMI’s highest honor for his exceptional body of work across film, television and video games. Among his scoring credits are the TV shows Game of Thrones, Westworld, House of the Dragon, Person of Interest, Prison Break, this year’s Fallout & 3 Body Problem, features such as Iron Man, Pacific Rim, Eternals, Uncharted, Clash of the Titans & A Wrinkle in Time, as well as the video games Medal of Honor, Gears of War 4 and Gears 5. The ceremony will also salute the composers of the previous year’s top-grossing films, top-rated primetime network television series, and highest-ranking cable and streamed media programs. Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the Peacock/Sky limited series The Tattooist of Auschwitz. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Hans Zimmer (Gladiator, The Dark Knight, The Lion King, Dune, Inception, Rain Man) and Kara Talve (Prehistoric PlanetFaraway Downs). Also included is the end credits song Love Will Survive written by Zimmer, Talve, Walter Afanasieff & Charlie Midnight and performed by Barbra Streisand (already available as a digital single now). Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (Ozark, The Outsider, Boy Erased, Tokyo Vice, Fear the Walking Dead, The StaircaseEnemyThe White Tiger) have composed the original music for the upcoming Apple TV+ limited series Presumed Innocent. The show is developed by David E. Kelley (Ally McBeal, Big Little Lies, The Practice) based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Scott Turow (which has previously been adapted into the 1990 feature scored by John Williams)  and stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, Chase Infiniti, O-T Fagbenle, Elizabeth Marvel, Renate Reinsve, Nana Mensah, Peter Sarsgaard and Kingston Rumi Southwick. The album features the film’s original music composed by Gaël Rakotondrabe (The Wild One, PortoOther People’s Children). The film will be directed by Christian De Vita and star Richard E. Grant and Brian Cox. The movie based on the book of the same title by David Edmonds &John Eidinow tells the story of the real-life encounter between Ludwig Wittgenstein and Karl Popper, two of the 20th century’s greatest philosophers, and explores their notorious dispute, known as the Cambridge Poker Incident.
