Les Films Velvet has released a soundtrack album for the French drama Red Soil (Rouge). The album features the film’s original music composed by Pierre Desprats (The Wild Boys, Perfect Nanny, Don’t Look Down). Red Soil is directed by Farud Bentoumi and stars Zita Hanrot, Sami Bouajila, Céline Sallett, Olivier Gourmet, Henri-Noël Tabary and Alka Balbir. The only movie opening in theaters nationwide this week is the superhero action adventure The Suicide Squad written and directed by James Gunn and starring Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, Joel Kinnaman, John Cena, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Daniela Melchior, David Dastmalchian Alice Braga, Pete Davidson, Peter Capaldi, Michael Rooker, Nathan Fillion and Sylvester Stallone.. The film’s original score is composed by John Murphy (28 Days Later, Kick-Ass, Sunshine, Snatch, Millions). Milan Records has released the fifth soundtrack for the Apple TV+ original series Schmigadoon! The album features the original songs (Suddenly (Melissa Reprise), Tribulation & I Always, Always, Never Get My Man) from the fifth episode of the show written by Cinco Paul (Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax), as well as four score cues composed by Christopher Willis (The Death of Stalin, Veep, The Personal History of David Copperfield). Milan Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the Amazon anthologhy series Modern Love. The album features both score music and original songs from the show’s second season. Executive music producer Gary Clark and series showrunner, director, writer & executive producer John Carney have written both instrumental music and original vocal tracks featuring performances by Rosie Carney, Nerina Pallot, John Byrne and ANDERMO. The record also features songs written and performed by Andy Shauf, Chong the Nomad, Morcheeba’s Skye Edwards, Clark and Gregor Philip, as well as score tracks by Jay Wadley (I’m Thinking of Ending Things, Indignation), Philip and Brian Byrne (Albert Nobbs, Boychoir). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, August 13 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
