Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Meghan Trainor will contribute original songs to the upcoming animated feature Margie Claus. The film is directed by Kirk DeMicco (Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken, The Croods) and features the voices of Melissa McCarthy, Jim Gaffigan, Andrew Scott, Annie Mumolo, Octavia Spencer, Cole Escola, Georgette Falcone, Gary Farmer, Luis Gerardo Méndez, Cedric Yarbrough and Maria Bakalova. The movie follows Santa’s wife Margie who has to spring into action when Santa Claus goes missing on Christmas Eve and puts together a wildly unqualified rescue team and ventures to the South Pole where good cheer can get you killed. Ben Falcone (Tammy, The Boss) and Damon Jones wrote the screenplay and are also writing original songs for the project. Falcone & McCarthy are also producing the Warner Bros. Picture Animation production with Michelle L.M. Wong (KPop Demon Hunters, Vivo). Margie Claus will be released in theaters nationwide on November 12, 2027 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
