Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the adventure comedy Free Guy directed by Shawn Levy and starring Ryan Reynolds, Jodie Comer, Lil Rel Howery, Joe Keery, Utkarsh Ambudkar and Taika Waititi. The film’s original score is composed by Christophe Beck (Frozen, Ant-Man,WandaVision, The Hangover, The Peanuts Movie, Edge of Tomorrow, Buffy the Vampire Slayer). Hollywood Records has released two soundtrack albums featuring the songs from the movie and the composer’s score earlier this week. Also opening wide is the biographical drama Respect directed by Liesl Tommy and starring Jennifer Hudson, Forest Whitaker, Marlon Wayans, Marc Maron, Tituss Burgess, Audra McDonald, Hailey Kilgore, Saycon Sengbloh, Skye Dakota Turner and Mary J. Blige. Kris Bowers (Green Book, Bridgerton, Space Jam: A New Legacy, Dear White People, Mrs. America) has composed the film’s original score.
