Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the streamer’s original stop-motion animated series My Melody & Kuromi. The album features the show’s original music composed by Yutaka Yamada (Alice in Borderland, Kingdom, Tokyo Ghoul, Vinland Saga, Yu Yu Hakusho, InuyashikiBleach). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 31 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Available separately as a digital single (and embedded after the jump) is LE SSERAFIM’s theme song Kawaii (produced by Gen Hoshino). My Melody & Kuromi is directed by Tomoki Misato, written by Shuko Nemoto and follows the titular cheerful girl and her self-proclaimed rival who have to team up to face a crisis that threatens the fate of Mariland, the town where they live. The film marks the narrative feature directorial debut of documentary filmmaker Daniel Roher (Navalny, Blink) and stars Leo Woodall, Dustin Hoffman, Havana Rose Liu, Jean Reno, Tovah Feldshuh and Lior Raz. The movie tells the story of a talented piano tuner whose life is turned upside down when he discovers that his meticulous skills for tuning pianos can equally be applied to cracking safes. Atlantic Records has released a soundtrack album for the documentary Simple Plan: The Kids in the Crowd. The album features over 30 songs from the film by the legendary Canadian rock band, including some of their greatest hits, as well as several demo tracks and a brand new track, Nothing Changes. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. The track written by Joe Talbot & Mark Bowen and performed by the post-punk band Idles is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. The film is directed by Rich Lee and stars Ice Cube, Eva Longoria, Clark Gregg, Iman Benson, Sasha Lane, Michael O’Neill, Linus Sebastian, Devon Bostick, Henry Hunter Hall, Andrea Savage, Zach King, Olivia DeLaurentis and Sydney Heller. The movie is based on H.G. Wells’ classic novel and follows W a top cyber-security analyst for Homeland Security who spends his days tracking potential threats to national security through a mass surveillance program, until an attack by an unknown entity leads him to question whether the government is hiding something from the world.
