Sonar Music will release the official soundtrack album for the Australian/New Zealand historical epic The Convert. The album features the film’s original music composed by Matteo Zingales (99 Homes,The Hunter, Fahrenheit 451, Tidelands, Mystery Road) . The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 21 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Convert is co-written and directed by Lee Tamahori and stars Guy Pearce, Tioreore Ngatai-Melbourne, Antonio Te Maioha, Jacqueline McKenzie and Lawrence Makoare. The movie is set in early 19th Century New Zealand and tells the story of a newly arrived preacher in a colonial town who finds himself at the center of a long-standing battle between two Māori tribes. Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1957 western Night Passage directed by James Neilson and starring James Stewart, Audie Murphy, Dan Duryea, Dianne Foster, Elaine Stewart and Brandon deWilde. The album features the original score from the Universal Pictures production composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Dimitri Tiomkin (High Noon, The Alamo, It’s A Wonderful LifeGiant, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, The Guns of Navarone).
