Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1957 western Night Passage directed by James Neilson and starring James Stewart, Audie Murphy, Dan Duryea, Dianne Foster, Elaine Stewart and Brandon deWilde. The album features the original score from the Universal Pictures production composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Dimitri Tiomkin (High Noon, The Alamo, It’s A Wonderful LifeGiant, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, The Guns of Navarone). Also included are two original songs (Follow the River & You Can’t Get Far Without a Railroad) written by the composer with lyricist Ned Washington. The album features the composers’ original score from the film and is now available to stream/download on most major digital music services, including Amazon. Above the Dust is written and directed by Xiaoshuai Wang and stars Ouyang Wenxin, Yong Mei, Zu Feng, Wang Zichuan, Li Jun and Zhao Xiaoning. The movie follows a 10-year-old Chinese boy who dreams of owning a water pistol and goes on a journey through his grandfather’s memories of the 1950s and his terrible misdeeds at the time. Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album for the Disney Junior animated series Ariel. The album features ten songs from the show inspired by the diverse genres of Caribbean music, written by Anthony M. Jones, Olivia Waithe, Sofia Quinn, Chantry Johnson, Michelle Zarlenga & Rosemarie Tan and performed by the project’s voice cast. The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 28 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The show’s theme song (written by Johnson, Zarlenga & Tan) is already available to stream/download now and can also be checked out after the jump. The film is written and directed by Marielle Heller and stars Amy Adams, Scoot McNairy, Arleigh Patrick Snowden, Zoë Chao, Emmett James Snowden, Archana Rajan, Mary Holland and Jessica Harper. The movie is based on Rachel Yoder’s debut novel of the same title and tells the story of a woman thrown into the stay-at-home routine of raising a toddler in the suburbs, who slowly embraces the feral power deeply rooted in motherhood, as she becomes increasingly aware of the bizarre signs that she may be turning into a canine. The film is directed by John Woo (Face/Off, Mission: Impossible 2) and stars Omar Sy, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sam Worthington, Saïd Taghmaoui and Diana Silvers.
