Composer and electronic recording artist Blanck Mass (aka Benjamin John Power) (Calm with Horses, She Rides Shotgun, The Rig, Ted K, Gazza) has recently scored the upcoming thriller Crime 101. The film is written and directed by Bart Layton (American Animals, The Imposter) and stars Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Corey Hawkins, Nick Nolte and Halle Berry. The movie based on the novella of the same title by Don Winslow revolves around an elusive thief whose high-stakes heists unfolding along the iconic 101 freeway in Los Angeles have mystified police and whose path collides with a disillusioned insurance broker who is facing her own crossroads, forcing the two to collaborate. Layton & Hemsworth are also producing the Working Title, RAW & production with Tim Bevan & Eric Fellner (Atonement, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy), Derrin Schlesinger (The Iron Claw, The Nest), Dimitri Doganis (Encounter), Shane Salerno (The Comey Rule, Shaft) and Benjamin Grayson (Limitless with Chris Hemsworth). Crime 101 will be released in theaters nationwide on February 13, 2026 by Amazon MGM Studios.
