Opening in theaters nationwide while also premiering on Peacock today is the satirical comedy Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul. written and directed by Adamma Ebo and starring Regina Hall and Sterling K. Brown. The film’s original music is composed by Marcus Norris. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening wide is the drama Gigi & Nate directed by Nick Hamm and starring Charlie Rowe, Josephine Langford, Zoe Colleti, Hannah Alligood, Marcia Gay Harden,  Jim Belushi and Diane Ladd. Paul Leonard-Morgan (Limitless, Dredd, Tales from the Loop, Wormwood, Dynasty) has composed the film’s original score and also co-wrote an original end credits song. Isabella Summers (aka Isa Machine of Florence + the Machine) (Little Fires Everywhere, The Offer, Physical, Sex/Life) has composed the original music for the upcoming Netflix original film Lady Chatterley’s Lover. The movie is directed by Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre (The Mustang) and stars Emma Corrin, Jack O’Connell, Joely Richardson, Matthew Duckett, Faye Marsay and Ella Hunt. The drama is based on the classic D.H. Lawrence novel of the same name and tells the story of a woman born to a life of wealth and privilege, who soon finds herself married to a man that she eventually falls out of love with and engages in a torrid affair with a gamekeeper on their English estate. ‘South of Heaven’ Soundtrack Album Announced

David Fleming (Hillbilly Elegy, The Unforgivable, Blue Planet II, The Perfect Guy) will release a soundtrack album for the crime thriller South of Heaven. The album features the composer’s original score from the movie and will be released digitally on September 22 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. A first track (Crossing the River) is already available to stream/download now and can be checked out after the jump. South of Heaven is co-written and directed by Aharon Keshales and stars Jason Sudeikis, Evangeline Lilly, Mike Colter, Shea Whigham, Michael Paré, Jeremy Bobb and Amaury Nolasco. The movie follows a convicted felon who gets early parole after serving twelve years for armed robbery and, upon release from prison, vows to give his childhood love, who is dying from cancer, the best last year of her life. Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the Netflix original film series Ivy + Bean. The album features the movies’ original music composed by Michael Yezerski (Blindspotting, The Tax Collector, The Vigil, Feel the Beat, The Devil’s Candy, Mental). Also included are the songs Get Along by beabadoobee, Rules R Made 2 B Broken by Salem Ilese, and Two Left Feet by Tayla Parx and Harloe. The EP features four songs from the show, including The Gift of the Rose written by Isabella Summers (of Florence & The Machine) and performed by herself & Elise McQueen, Salvation From the Dawn by series composer Will Bates (Unbelievable, I Origins, The Magicians) feat. Maiah Manser, Lessons of the Fire co-written (with Bates) and performed by Bishop Briggs, and a cover of the folk song The Water is Wide performed by Fay Wolf. Lakeshore Records will release the first soundtrack album for the NBC drama La Brea. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Emmy Award nominee James S. Levine (Glee, Nip/Tuck, American Horror Story, Damages, Star, Rizzoli & Isles, Bloodline). The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 23 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. La Brea is created by David Appelbaum and stars Natalie Zea, Eoin Macken, Chiké Okonkwo, Jon Seda, Karina Logue, Zyra Gorecki, Nicholas Gonzalez, Veronica St. Clair, Rohan Mirchandaney, Jack Martin, Josh McKenzie, Lily Santiago and Chloe De Los Santos.
