Nigerian singer/songwriter and record producer Tems will serve as the executive music producer of the soundtrack for the film adaptation of Tomi Adeyemi’s fantasy novel Children of Blood and Bone. Burna Boy is the executive music consultant of the movie co-written and directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood (The Woman King, Love & Basketball) and staring Thuso Mbedu, Damson Idris, Amandla Stenberg, Tosin Cole, Cynthia Erivo, Zackary Momoh, Idris Elba, Lashana Lynch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Regina Kin and Viola Davis. Rihanna’s Original Song ‘Lift Me Up’ from ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Released
Roc Nation Records, Def Jam Recordings & Hollywood Records have released the original song Life Me Up from Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The track co-written (with Tems, the film’s composer Ludwig Göransson and director Ryan Coogler) and performed by Rihanna is now available to stream/download as a digital single (which also includes an instrumental version) on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. A full soundtrack album featuring more songs from and inspired by the movie will be released next Friday, November 4 and a separate album featuring will be coming out the following week.
‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ to Feature Original Song ‘Lift Me Up’ by Rihanna
Rihanna announced today that she has recorded an original song for Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The track, entitled Lift Me Up, is written by Tems, Academy Award winner Ludwig Göransson, Rihanna herself and director Ryan Coogler. Göransson also produced the song, which was recorded in five countries and will be released as a digital single this Friday, October 28 by Roc Nation Records, Def Jam Recordings & Hollywood Records. A 3-track prologue single for the movie has previously been released this past summer.

Hollywood Records & Marvel Music have the first tracks from the soundtrack for Marvel Studios’ upcoming feature Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The 3-track Wakanda Forever Prologue single features the cover of Bob Marley’s No Woman No Cry performed by Nigerian singer Tems (as featured in the movie’s first teaser trailer), as well as A Body, A Coffin by amaarae and Soy by Santa Fe Klan. The film’s composer Ludwig Göransson produced all three songs and also co-wrote A Body, A Coffin with Kyu Steed, KZ, Cracker Mallo, Maesu & Amaarae.
