Netflix Music will release the official soundtrack album for the streamer’s original animated feature Wendell & Wild. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Bruno Coulais (Coraline, Wolfwalkers, The Chorus, The Crimson Rivers, Winged Migration, The Secret of Kells). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 28 and will be available to stream/download here. Wendell & Wild is co-written and directed by Henry Selick and features the voices of Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele, Angela Bassett, Lyric Ross, Ving Rhames, Gabrielle Dennis, Tamara Smart, Gary Gatewood, Natalie Martinez, James Hong, Igal Naor, Tantoo Cardinal, David Harewood and Maxine Peake. The movie tells the story of two scheming demons who strike a deal with a punk rock-loving teen so they can leave the Underworld and live out their dreams in the Land of the Living.

Bruno Coulais Scoring Henry Selick’s ‘Wendell & Wild’
Composer Bruno Coulais (The Chorus, The Crimson Rivers, Winged Migration) is reteaming with director Henry Selick on the upcoming animated feature Wendell & Wild. The film follows two scheming demon brothers – Wendell (voiced by Jordan Peele) and Wild (voiced by Keegan-Michael Key) – who are forced to face-off against their arch-enemy in order to earn their way out of hell. Selick (The Nightmare Before Christmas, James and the Giant Peach) also co-wrote the screenplay with Peele (Get Out, Us) and Clay McLeod Chapman based on an original story by Selick. They are also producing the Monkeypaw production with Ellen Goldsmith-Vein (The Maze Runner, Stargirl, Life of Crime) for The Gotham Group.
Bruno Coulais to Reunite with Henry Selick on ‘The Shadow King’
Bruno Coulais is reteaming with director Henry Selick (Nightmare Before Christmas, James and the Giant Peach) on his upcoming stop-motion animated film The Shadow King. The film features the voice talent of Brendan Gleeson, Catherine O’Hara, Pamela Adlon, Jeffrey Tambor & Jaden Betts and follows a nine-year-old New York orphan who hides his fantastically weird hands with long fingers from a cruel world. When a living shadow girl teaches him to make amazing hand shadows that come to life, his hands become incredible weapons in a shadow war against a ravenous monster bent on killing his brother and ultimately destroying New York. Selick is writing and directing the project and Josh Penn (Beasts of the Southern Wild) is producing. Coulais has previously scored the director’s Academy Award-nominated animated film Coraline. No word yet on a release date yet for The Shadow King.
