Mirrortone will release a soundtrack album for the crime thriller Snakehead. The album features the film’s original music composed by Roman Molino Dunn (aka Electropoint). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, October 29 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Snakehead is written and directed by Evan Jackson Leong and stars Shuya Chang, Sung Kang, Jade Wu, Perry Yung, Yacine Djoumbaye, Catherine Jiang, Devon Diep, Celia Au, Richie Ng, Jamie Choi and Sandra Eloani. Music Box Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1985 fantasy adventure Legend directed by Ridley Scott and starring Tom Cruise, Mia Sara, David Bennent and Tim Curry. The 2-CD set features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Poltergeist, Planet of the Apes, Patton, Papillon, Basic Instinct), including the composer’s expanded score feat. two previously unreleased cues, plus two alternate tracks on the first disc, and a remastered version of the original soundtrack album on the second disc. The show’s original music is composed by Jongnic Bontemps (United Skates, My Name Is Pauli Murray, The Land, We Are: The Brooklyn Saints, College Behind Bars, The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel). Daniel Pemberton was named Film Composer of the Year at the 21st World Soundtrack Awards, tonight’s closing event of the 48th Ghent Film Festival, for his scores for Aaron Sorkins’ The Trial of the Chicago 7, Harry Bradbeer’s Enola Holmes and the documentary Rising Phoenix. He previously received his first World Soundtrack Award in the Discovery of the Year category back in 2014. Carlos Rafael Rivera was honored as TV Composer of the Year today for his score for the Netflix limited series The Queen’s Gambit (for which he recently received his second Emmy Award) and HBO’s Hacks.
