Radiofandango has released a soundtrack album for the Italian drama The Mute Man of Sardinia (Il muto di Gallura). The album features the film’s original music composed by Paolo Baldini DubFiles. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. The Mute Man of Sardinia is co-written and directed by Matteo Fresi and stars Andrea Arcangeli, Marco Bullitta, Giovanni Carroni and Syama Rayner. The movie revolves around the feud between the Vasa and Mamia families that led to the death of more than 70 people in mid-19th century Sardinia, from the perspective of Bastiano Tansu, a death-mute since birth who turned into a feared assassin, driven into a killing frenzy following his brother’s murder. Deadline is reporting that T Bone Burnett (Inside Llewyn Davis, Crazy Heart, True Detective, Walk the Line) is attached to compose music for a film adaptation of Chuck Klosterman’s novel Downtown Owl. The film is directed by actors Lily Rabe & Hamish Linklater and stars Rabe herself, Ed Harris Vanessa Hudgens, Finn Wittrock, Jack Dylan Grazer and August Blanco Rosenstein. The drama is set in rural North Dakota in 1983 and revolves around a high school English teacher whose presence upends the lives of locals just in time for a white-out blizzard for the ages. PKR will release a soundtrack album for the thriller Nightride. The album features the film’s original music composed by DJ and electronic music artist Phil Kieran who has made his feature scoring debut on the project.
