Walt Disney Records will release the official soundtrack album for the Disneynature documentary Polar Bear. The album features the film’s original music composed by Harry Gregson-Williams (The Chronicles of Narnia, Shrek, The Martian, Mulan, Kingdom of Heaven, The Last Duel) who previously scored the studios’ Monkey Kingdom and Penguins. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, April 22 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. DJ Muggs to Make Film Scoring Debut on Eddie Alcazar’s ‘Divinity’

Deadline is reporting that DJ Muggs (of Cypress Hill) (aka Larry Muggerud) will make his feature film scoring debut on the upcoming indie thriller Divinity. The movie is directed by Eddie Alcazar (Perfect) and stars Stephen Dorff, Jason Genao, Moises Arias, Bella Thorne, Scott Bakula, Karrueche Tran, Mike O’Hearn, Chris Santos, Danielia Maximillian, Lydia Bielen, and Emily Willis. The film follows two otherworldly brothers that are hellbent on stopping a mogul who is close to unraveling the secrets behind immortality. The full details of the soundtrack album for Blumhouse’s Firestarter reboot have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by John Carpenter (Halloween, Assault on Precint 13, Christine, The Fog), Cody Carpenter & Daniel Davies who previously co-scored Blumhouse’s Halloween and Halloween Kills. The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 13, 2022 by Back Lot Music and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The end titles track is already available to stream/download now and can be checked out after the jump. A physical version is also expected. Firestarter is directed by Keith Thomas and stars Zac Efron, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Sydney Lemmon, Kurtwood Smith, John Beasley, Michael Greyeyes and Gloria Reuben. The movie is based on Stephen King’s novel of the same name and revolves around a girl with extraordinary pyrokinetic powers who fights to protect her family and herself from sinister forces that seek to capture and control her. Alex Heffes Piano Album ‘Sudden Light’ Announced

BAFTA-nominated composer Alex Heffes will release a collection of piano performances of his themes from cinema. The album, entitled Sudden Light, features music from such films as Dear Frankie, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, Queen of Katwe, Touching the Void, One Day in September, Emperor, The Elephant Queen, Earth: One Amazing Day, Hope Gap, as well as The 24th, for which he wrote two Ragtime pieces that he expanded for the record with new sections into pieces that stand alone as a homage to that style of music he really like and grew up with. Also included is Sadie’s Theme from the Hulu limited series 11/22/63. The music on the album is performed entirely by Heffes and will be released on May 6, 2022 by Silva Screen Records. The album features the film’s original score composed by David Arnold (Independence Day, Casino Royale, Stargate, Tomorrow Never Dies, Sherlock, Godzilla, Good Omens).
