Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the French comedy Say Cheese (On sourit pour la photo). The album features the film’s original music composed by Ben Mazué & Guillaume Poncelet, as well as their cover of I Will Survive (originally written by Dino Fekaris & Frederick Perren). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. Say Cheese is written and directed by François Uzan and stars Jacques Gamblin, Pascale Arbillot, Pablo Pauly, Agnès Hurstel and Ludovik. Italian tenor and singer/songwriter Matteo Bocelli (and son of opera star Andrea Bocelli) has recorded an original song for the sci-fi romance Three Thousand Years of Longing. The track written by the film’s composer Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) (Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Deadpool, Alita: Battle Angel), director George Miller & co-writer Augusta Gore is expected to be featured during the movie’s end titles sequence. Blake Neely (The Flight AttendantArrow, The Flash, You, Greyhound, The Pacific) is the composer new HBO original series The Time Traveler’s Wife. The show is developed by Steven Moffat (Doctor Who, Sherlock) and stars Rose Leslie, Theo James, Desmin Borges and Natasha Lopez. The 6-part sci-fi romantic drama is based on the novel of the same title by Audrey Niffenegger (which has previously turned into the 2009 feature scored by Mychael Danna) and tells the story of Clare and Henry, and a marriage with a problem – time travel. Apple Video Programming has released a digital single featuring three songs from the upcoming Apple TV+ live-action animated hybrid kids and family series Lovely Little Farm. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music platforms is the theme song Animals, as well as Believe and Begins with Love written by the French & American duo Freedom Fry (Marie Seyrat & Bruce Driscoll) who also composed the score for the show. Composer Charlie Clouser (Saw, Resident Evil: Extinction, Numbers, Spiral, Death Sentence, Dead Silence) is reteaming with director Marcus Dunstan (The Collector) on the upcoming Epix original film Unhuman. The movie starring Brianne Tju, Benjamin Wadsworth, Uriah Shelton, Ali Gallo and Peter Giles follows seven misfit students who must band together against a growing gang of unhuman savages and take down the murderous zombie-creatures. The Bank Records will release a soundtrack album for the Danish TV series Borgen: Power & Glory. The album features selections of the original music from the fourth season of Borgen composed by August Fenger Janson (aka ELOQ) (Chosen). The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 2 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The composer’s main title theme is already available to stream/download now. Borgen: Power & Glory is created by Adam Price and stars Sidse Babett Knudsen, Birgitte Hjort Sørensen, Mikkel Boe Følsgaard, Simon Bennebjerg, Magnus Millang and Özlem Saglanmak. Deadline is reporting that singer/songwriter Katy Perry will write and perform original songs for the upcoming animated musical Melody. The film created and directed by Zeremy Zag (Ladybug & Cat Noir: Awakening) is set against the backdrop of New York City and follows a kind-hearted, insecure singer (voiced by Perry herself) who has seven musical notes that set her apart and have magical qualities who must overcome the evil plans of a jealous wicked pop queen who has vowed to destroy her. Decca Records has announced a soundtrack album for Illumination’s animated comedy Minions: The Rise of Gru. The album is produced by Grammy Award winner Jack Antonoff features the new track Turn Up the Sunshine by Diana Ross ft. Tame Impala (to be released as a digital single on May 20), St. Vincent’s cover of Lipps Inc’s Funkytown, H.E.R.’s rendition of Sly and The Family Stone’s Dance to the Music, Bleachers’ version of John Lennon’s Instant Karma! and Phoebe Bridgers’ interpretation of The Carpenters’ 1972 Goodbye to Love, as well as the Minions’ performance of Simon & Garfunkel’s Cecilia. Also included is a score suite by the film’s composer Heitor Pereira (Despicable Me, The Smurfs, The Angry Birds Movie).
