Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel, The Motorcycle Diaries, The Last of Us, The Book of Life) has teamed up with Juan Luqui (Wild Life, (Monsterland, Dear Child), Paco Cabral (Diego: The Last Goodbye) and Matias Tozolla (Messenger on a White Horse) to score the upcoming documentary Norita. He also serves as an executive producer on the film directed by Jayson McNamara & Andrea Tortonese and tells the story of Norita Cortiñas who helped found a movement of Argentinian mothers in the 1970s whose children had been “disappeared” by the country’s right-wing military regime and is seen as a fundamental fixture in the movement’s success during the country’s 2020 vote to legalize abortion.

Paloma Baeza’s ‘Three Hares’ to Feature Original Score by Gustavo Santaolalla & Juan Luqui
Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel, The Motorcycle Diaries, The Book of Life) has teamed up with Juan Luqui (Monsterland, Wild Life, Dear Child, The Fight) to score the upcoming animated short Three Hares. The film is directed by Paloma Baeza (Poles Apart), narrated by Jessie Buckley and tells a story of three sisters who must remind mankind to respect the earth to protect their future. Baeza also wrote the screenplay based on an original story by Hanya Yanagihara.

Premiering tomorrow, September 4, is the Comedy Central original movie Office Race co-written and directed by Jared Lapidus and starring Beck Bennett, Joel McHale, Kelsey Grammer, Erinn Hayes, Kylie Bunbury, J.B. Smoove and Alyson Hannigan. Academy Award-nominated and Grammy-Award winning singer/songwriter Bryan Adams has contributed two original songs to the film. Premiering on Wednesday, September 6, is the Netflix documentary series Predators executive produced by Wendy Darke & Vanessa Coates and narrated by Tom Hard about a group of cheetahs, polar bears and more of the planet’s most powerful hunters as they fight against the odds to survive. The show’s original music is composed by Nainita Desai (For Sama, The Deepest Breath, Crossfire, The Tower, Funny Woman, The Reason I Jump). The 5-parter premiered in the UK last December on Sky Nature and will be available to stream in the U.S. and most other major markets exclusively on Netflix.

Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the German Netflix original series Dear Child (Liebes Kind). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel, The Last of Us, The Book of Life, The Motorcycle Diaries) and Juan Luqui (Wild Life, Monsterland, The Fight). Dear Child is written and directed by Isabel Kleefeld & Julian Pörksen and stars Kim Riedle, Naila Schuberth, Haley Louise Jones, Sammy Schrein, Hans Löw, Birge Schade, Justus von Dohnányi, Julika Jenkins and Seraphina Maria Schweiger. The 6-part thriller is based on Romy Hausmann’s novel of the same title and centers on woman who escapes a highly secured home, where she has lived for over ten years in complete isolation with two children.

‘Wild Life’ Soundtrack Album Announced
Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album for the National Geographic documentary Wild Life. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel, The Last of Us, The Motorcycle Diaries, The Book of Life) and Juan Luqui (Monsterland, The Fight). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, May 26 (click here to stream/download the album). Wild Life is directed by Chai Vasarhelyi & Jimmy Chin (Free Solo) and chronicles conservationists Kris and Doug Tompkins’ fight to preserve one of the last truly wild places on earth.

Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel, The Motorcycle Diaries, Finch, The Book of Life) and Juan Luqui (Monsterland, The Fight) have teamed up to score the upcoming documentary Wild Life. The film is directed by Chai Vasarhelyi & Jimmy Chin (Free Solo, The Rescue) and follows conservationist Kris Tompkins who – after falling in love in mid-life – left behind the world of the outdoor brands they had helped pioneer and turned their attention to an effort to create National Parks throughout Chile and Argentina.

Opening in select theaters today is the documentary Rebuilding Paradise directed by Ron Howard. The film’s original music is composed by Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Gladiator, The Lion King, Inception) & Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The LEGO Batman Movie, Bad Boys for Life).
