The film marks the directorial debut of Academy Award-nominated cinematographer Rachel Morrison (Black Panther) and stars Ryan Destiny, Oluniké Adeliyi, Brian Tyree Henry and De’Adre Aziza. The movie is based on the 2015 documentary T-Rex by Zackary Canepari and Drea Cooper and tells the true story of Claressa Shields, a Flint, Michigan native whose dreams of becoming the first woman in history to win an Olympic gold medal in boxing came to fruition at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. La-La Land Records has announced a reissue of the restored and remastered soundtrack album for Steven Spielberg’s 1982 classic E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial starring Henry Thomas, Drew Barrymore and Dee Wallace. The album release, which coincides with the movie’s 40th Anniversary and the theatrical re-release in select IMAX theaters this coming weekend, features the original music from the Universal Studios and Amblin Entertainment production composed by Academy Award winner John Williams (Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park, Jaws, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone) and includes the same content as the label’s 35th Anniversary Edition from 2017.
