emmysThe nominations for the 75th Emmy Awards were announced this morning. The awards will be given out at the 75th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which is currently scheduled to take place on September 9 & 10 in Los Angeles, but is expected to be delayed. Here are the music-related categories:

Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score):

‘Gold Brick’ (‘CASH’) Soundtrack Album Released

Grande Ourse has released a soundtrack album for the French Netflix original film Gold Brick (CASH). The album features the movie’s original score composed by David Sztanke (Transatlantic, Magnetic Beats,Keep an Eye Out, Sophie’s Misfortunes). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. Gold Brick is directed by Jérémie Rozan and stars Raphaël Quenard, Agathe Rousselle, Igor Gotesman and Antoine Gouy. The heist comedy follows a factory worker who is determined to even the scales and profit from his thankless job and schemes to traffic luxury perfumes from under his employer’s nose. Max Richter (The Leftovers, Ad Astra, Mary Queen of Scots, Hostiles, Waltz with Bashir, Taboo, Miss Sloane) has composed the original music for the upcoming Netflix original film Spaceman. The sci-fi drama is directed by Johan Renck (Chernobyl, The Last Panthers) and stars Adam Sandler, Carey Mulligan, Paul Dano and Kunal Nayyar. The movie based on the novel Spaceman of Bohemia by Jaroslav Kalfar tells the story of an astronaut who is sent to the edge of the galaxy to collect mysterious ancient dust and finds his earthly life falling to pieces, when he turns to a creature from the beginning of time who can help him try to put it back together. NFL Films will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original sports documentary series Quarterback. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by David Robidoux (All or Nothing, Hard Knocks, Lombardi, Namath) and Ryan Scully (30 for 30: Bullies of Baltimore). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 12 and will be available to stream/download here. Quarterback is produced by NFL Films, Omaha & 2PM Productions and follows NFL players Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins & Marcus Mariota from the beginning of the 2022 season to its conclusion, following them on and off the field, from inside the huddle with teammates to inside their homes with their families. The details of the first soundtrack album for Marvel Studios’ Disney+ limited series Secret Invasion have been revealed. The album features selections of the original music from the first three episodes of the show composed by Emmy Award nominee Kris Bowers (Bridgerton, Haunted Mansion, Green Book, King Richard, Space Jam: A New Legacy, Chevalier, Dear White People). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 12 by Marvel Music & Hollywood Records and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. A second album featuring the composer’s score from the final three episodes is expected to come out in a few weeks. Secret Invasion is developed by Kyle Bradstreet and stars Samuel L. Original Smashing Pumpkins member James Iha (That ’90s Show, Deadbeat, The Arrangement, Mother May I Sleep with Danger?) is set to score the upcoming indie horror thriller The Sound. The film is written and directed by Brendan Devane (The Canyonlands) and stars William Fichtner, as well as climbing legends Alex Honnold, Brette Harrington and Adrian Ballinger. The movie is set in the world of big wall rock climbing and follows a group of climbers as they embark on the challenge of conquering the Forbidden Wall, a perilous climb that has remained off-limits for years. Silva Screen Records will release the official soundtrack album for the BBC natural history series Earth. The album features the show’s original music composed by Paul Saunderson (Three Identical Strangers, Trying, Your Christmas or Mine?, The More You Ignore Me, The Grand Duke of Corsica, Starfish). Loma Vista Recordings has released the end credits song Stay from the supernatural horror sequel Insidious: The Red Door. The cover version of Shakespears Sister’s 1992 track is performed by Ghost feat. lead actor/director Patrick Wilson and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon.
