Singer/songwriter, record producer and actor Benjamin Biolay has composed the original music for the upcoming French biographical drama Being Maria (Maria). The film is written and directed by Jessica Palud (Revenir) and stars Anamaria Vartolomei as Last Tango in Paris star Maria Schneider and Matt Dillon as Marlon Brando. The movie is based on Vanessa Schneider’s 2018 memoir My Cousin Maria about the titular actress whose dreams come true when an emerging Italian director casts her to headline a new film alongside an American superstar, but what seems like a big breakthrough turns out to be the start of a living hell.
