Republic Records & Verve Label Group have released a third soundtrack album for the first part of the film adaptation of the stage musical Wicked. The “Sing-Along” album features instrumental versions of all eleven songs from the movie written (originally for the stage show) by Stephen Schwartz (The Prince of Egypt, Pippin, Pocahontas). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Listen to the “sing-along” versions of Popular and Defying Gravity after the jump. The label has previously released the original soundtrack album last month and a separate album featuring John Powell’s & Schwartz’s original score earlier this month. Wicked directed by Jon M. Chu and starring Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Bowen Yang, Keala Settle & Ethan Slater is currently playing in theaters nationwide and a “sing-along” version of the movie will be released in select theaters on December 25 by Universal Pictures.
