Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

Expected to top the weekend box office is the film adaptation of the YA novel The Maze Runner directed by Wes Ball and starring Dylan O’Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Will Poulter, Aml Ameen and Thomas Brodie-Sangster. The film’s original music is composed by John Paesano (Dragons: Riders of Berk, When the Game Stands Tall, Crisis). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music. Also opening wide is the is the thriller A Walk Among the Tombstones directed by Scott Frank and starring Liam Neeson, Dan Stevens, David Harbour and Boyd Holbrook. Carlos Rafael Rivera has composed the film’s original music. Varese Sarabande has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music earlier this week. Joe Kraemer to Score ‘Mission: Impossible 5’

Director Christopher McQuarrie announced on Twitter that Joe Kraemer is set to score the upcoming action thriller sequel Mission: Impossible 5. The film stars Tom Cruise who returns as IMF Agent Ethan Hunt. Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg and Ving Rhames are also reprising their roles from the previous installment in the series. They are joined by Alec Baldwin and Rebecca Ferguson. Will Staples and Drew Pearce (Iron Man 3) have written the screenplay. Cruise is also producing the project with J.J. Abrams. Kraemer has previously scored McQuarrie’s previous two directorial efforts, The Way of the Gun and 2011’s Jack Reacher, which also starred Tom Cruise. The previous Mission: Impossible films featured music by Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer and most recently, Michael Giacchino who scored the third and fourth parts in the series. ‘Addicted’ Soundtrack Details

Varese Sarabande has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the thriller Addicted. The album features the film’s original music composed by Aaron Zigman (The Notebook, John Q, The Bridge to Teribithia, The Proposal). The soundtrack will be released physically on October 21, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Addicted is directed by Bille Woodruff (Honey) and stars Sharon Leal, Boris Kodjoe, Tasha Smith, Tyson Beckford, Emayatzy Corinealdi, Kat Graham and William Levy. The movie based on the best-selling novel by Zane and follows a successful business woman with three kids who finds herself satisfying her addiction to sex by sleeping with other men. 21st Century Symphony Orchestra to Perform James Horner’s ‘Titanic Live’

The 21st Century Symphony Orchestra has announced a concert featuring the performance of the Academy Award-winning original score for James Cameron’s epic historical drama Titanic performed live to projection. James Horner has composed the music for the film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet and received his first two Oscars for both his score and the original song My Heart Will Go On. The music will be performed by the 21st Century Symphony Orchestra and the Boys Choir Lucerne under the baton of Ludwig Wicki. Three concerts will be held on three consecutive days on March 13, 14 & 15, 2015 at the KKL Luzern Concert Hall in Lucerne, Switzerland.As previously announced, Titanic Live will also be performed on April 27, 2015 at the Royal Albert Hall in London. ‘Tracks’ Soundtrack Details

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama Tracks. The album features the film’s original music by Garth Stevenson (Red Knot, Young Lakota). The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 30, 2014 and on CD on October 28. Visit Amazon to pre-order the soundtrack. Tracks is directed by John Curran (The Painted Veil, We Don’t Live Here Anymore) and stars Mia Wasikowska and Adam Driver. The movie tells the true story of Robyn Davidson, a young woman who leaves her life in the city to make a solo trek through almost 2,000 miles of sprawling Australian desert. Brian Tyler & Tony Morales to Score CBS’ ‘Scorpion’

Brian Tyler and Tony Morales are scoring the new CBS drama Scorpion. The show is created by Nick Santora (Prison Break, Breakout Kings) and stars Elyes Gabel, Katharine McPhee, Robert Patrick, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Jadyn Wong and Ari Stidham. The series follows an eccentric genius and his team of brilliant misfits who comprise the last line of defense against complex, high-tech threats of the modern age. Santora is also executive producing the CBS Television Studios production with Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci (Star Trek, Alias), Nicholas Wootton (NYPD Blue, Chuck), Heather Kadin (Sleepy Hollow) Scooter Braun (Justin Bieber’s Believe) and Walter O’Brien. Justin Lin has directed the pilot episode and is also executive producing the project. ‘Birdman’ Soundtrack Details

The details of the soundtrack album for Alejandro González Iñárritu’s comedy drama Birdman have been revealed. The album features the film’s original drum music written by Antonio Sanchez. Also included are the classical pieces featured in the movie by Gustav Mahler, Maurice Ravel, Sergei Rachmaninov and John Adams. The soundtrack will be released on October 14, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check out two tracks after the jump. Alex Ebert to Score J.C. Chandor’s ‘A Most Violent Year’

Alex Ebert is reuniting with director J.C. Chandor to score the upcoming crime drama A Most Violent Year. The film stars Oscar Isaac, Jessica Chastain, Alessandro Nivola, David Oyelowo and Albert Brooks. The movie is set in New York City during the winter of 1981 and follows the lives of an immigrant family trying to expand their business and capitalize on opportunities amid violence, decay and corruption. Chandor (Margin Call) has also written the screenplay and is producing the project with Neal Dodson and Anna Gerb. Ebert who is best known as the lead vocalist of the band Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros has previously collaborated with Chandor on last year’s All Is Lost starting Robert Redford and went on to receive a Golden Globe for his score. ‘Another Me’ Soundtrack Released

The Control Room has released a soundtrack album for the psychological thriller Another Me. The album features the film’s original music written by Emmy Award-winning composer Michael Price (Sherlock, A Fantastic Fear of Everything, The Inbetweeners 2). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon. Audio clips are embedded after the jump. Another Me is directed by Isabel Coixet and stars Sophie Turner, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Claire Forlani and Rhys Ifans. The movie follows a teenage girl whose once seemingly perfect life slowly begins to unravel when she suspects that she’s being stalked by a mysterious “double” who is out to steal not just her identity, but her life. Stephen Endelman has recently scored the upcoming romantic comedy How to Make Love Like an Englishman. The film is directed by Tom Vaughan (What Happens in Vegas, Starter for 10, Extraordinary Measures) and stars Pierce Brosnan, Salma Hayek, Ben McKenzie, Jessica Alba, Lindsey Sporrer and Malcolm McDowell. The movie follows a University of Cambridge professor who finds a woman who forces him to reevaluate his life of hedonistic excess after he manages to get her graduate student stepsister pregnant. Matthew Newman has written the screenplay. Richard B. Lewis (Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Backdraft, August Rush), Beau St. Clair (The Thomas Crown Affair, Laws of Attraction, November Man) and Kevin Frakes (Laggies) are producing the Palmstar Media Capital, Southpaw Entertainment, Irish DreamTime and Envision production.
