Cory Lerios has signed on to score the upcoming action adventure series SAF3. The show is created by Gregory J. Bonann & Tai Collins and stars Dolph Lundgren in his first TV series. The drama follows the Southern California’s elite multi-agency task force Rescue 3, which consists of the cream-of-the-crop from Los Angeles Lifeguard, Firefighter and Coast Guard agencies. J.R. Ramirez, Lydia Hull, Texas Battle, Jocelyn Osorio, Katie Meehan, Travis Burns and Danielle Anderson are co-starring in the Emmett/Furla Films, Tower 18 Productions and Envision Entertainment production. Lerios also serves as a producer on the project. The composer has previously collaborated with Bonann on the long-running hit series Baywatch, as well as Thunder in Paradise. ‘All Is Lost’ Soundtrack Details

Community Music will release a soundtrack album for the upcoming drama All Is Lost. The album features the film’s original music composed and produced by Alexander (aka Alex Ebert of the indie rock band Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros). The soundtrack will be released on October 1, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips are embedded after the jump. All Is Lost is written and directed by J.C. Chandor (Margin Call) and stars Robert Redford as a man who gets lost at sea and struggles against the elements to stay alive. The film premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival to rave reviews for Redford’s lead performance and will be released in theaters on October 18 by Roadside Attractions/Lionsgate. Three new movies are opening wide this week:
Already in theaters since Wednesday is the thriller Closed Circuit directed by John Crowley and starring Eric Bana, Rebecca Hall, Riz Ahmed, Jim Broadbent, Kenneth Cranham, Anne-Marie Duff, Ciarán Hinds and Julia Stiles. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score digitally earlier this week. Opening wide today is the concert documentary One Direction: This Is Us directed by Morgan Spurlock about the British/Irish boy band One Direction, consisting of Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Franglen who collaborated with James Horner on his scores for Avatar, The Amazing Spider-Man and The Karate Kid has composed the film’s original score. No soundtrack album has been released, but the songs featured in the film are available on the band’s records. Dan Marocco is currently scoring the upcoming Fox comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The show is created by Dan Goor and Michael Schur (Parks and Recreation) and stars Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Melissa Fumero, Terry Crews, Joe Lo Truglio, Stephanie Beatriz and Chelsea Peretti. The show centers around a diverse group of detectives at a New York precinct. The Universal Television production is executive produced by Goor, Schur and David Miner (30 Rock). Phil Lord and Chris Miller (21 Jump Street, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs) have directed the pilot episode. ‘Getaway’ Soundtrack Details

Varese Sarabande has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the action thriller Getaway. The album features the film’s original score composed by Justin Burnett (Dungeons & Dragons, Java Heat), as well as the original song Sing Now performed by Allison Beal and written by Beal and Burnett. The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 3, 2013. A limited CD edition is set to be released later in September. Audio clips will be added to this article within the next few days. Getaway directed by Courtney Solomon and stars Ethan Hawke, Selena Gomez, Jon Voight, Rebecca Budig and Bruce Payne. The movie follows a burned out race car driver who is forced to get behind the wheel for a criminal scheme when his wife is kidnapped. The thriller is being released today, August 30 by Warner Bros. The details of the soundtrack album for the comedy drama Thanks for Sharing have been revealed. The album features the songs from the film, including Let Me Tell You About Her by Elvis Costello, Year Of The Tiger by St. Vincent, Parentheses by The Antlers, Tender Comrade by Billy Bragg and Hero by Family of the Year. Also included is a track by composer Craig Wedren (Role Models, The School of Rock). The soundtrack will be released on September 17, 2013 by Milan Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Also featured on the song album is a suite from the film’s original score composed by Christopher Lennertz. As reported earlier this week, the label will also release a separate album featuring the composer’s score. Thanks for Sharing directed by Stuart Blumberg and starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Mark Ruffalo, Tim Robbins, Josh Gad, Joely Richardson, Patrick Fugit and Alecia Moore is set to be released on September 20 by Roadside Attractions/Lionsgate.

Alexandre Desplat to Score ‘Godzilla’ Reboot

Legendary Pictures has announced that Alexandre Desplat has been tapped to score the upcoming Godzilla reboot. The film is directed by Gareth Edwards (Monsters) and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Bryan Cranston, David Strathairn, Juliette Binoche, Sally Hawkins, Richard T. Jones and Ken Watanabe.The movie is said to tell the origin story of Godzilla in contemporary times and “pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence”. Max Borenstein (Seventh Son) and Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile) have written the screenplay based on a story by Borenstein and Dave Callaham (The Expendables). ‘Colette’ Soundtrack Announced

The album features the film’s original music composed by Atli Orvarsson (Vantage Point, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones).
