WaterTower Music has released the main title theme song Frightening Fishes from the new Apple TV+ original series Shrinking. The track is written by Death Cab for Cutie lead singer Benjamin Gibbard & the show’s composer Tom Howe (Ted Lasso, Early Man, A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon) and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Shrinking is created by Jason Segel, Bill Lawrence & Brett Goldstein and stars Segel himself, Harrison Ford, Jessica Williams, Michael Urie, Christa Miller, Luke Tennie and Lukita Maxwell.

‘Laggies’ Soundtrack Announced
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the indie comedy Laggies. The album features the film’s original music composed by Death Cab for Cutie lead singer Benjamin Gibbard. The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 4, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A physical version will be released later this year and is available for pre-order here. Audio clips will be added to this article soon. Laggies is directed by Lynn Shelton (My Sister’s Sister, Touchy Feely) and stars Keira Knightley, Chloe Grace Moretz and Sam Rockwell. The movie follows a woman who is stuck in permanent adolescence and lies to her fiance about going on a retreat and instead hangs out with friends.

Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the horror thriller Ouija directed by Stiles White, produced by Michael Bay & Jason Blum and starring Olivia Cooke, Daren Kagasoff, Douglas Smith, Bianca Santos and Ana Coto. The film’s original music is composed by Anton Sanko (The Possession, Rabbit Hole, Big Love). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score digitally earlier this week. Also opening wide is the action thriller John Wick directed by Chad Stahelski and starrimb Keanu Reeves, Michael Nyqvist, Adrianne Palicki, Bridget Moynahan, Dean Winters, Ian McShane, Alfie Allen, John Leguizamo and Willem Dafoe. Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, 300, Dawn of the Dead) and Joel J. Richard have composed the film’s original score. Varese Sarabande has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ music, as well as additional music by Le Castle Vania and songs perfomed by Ciscandra Nostalghia, KALEIDA, The Candy Shop Boys and M86 & Susie Q. Lynn Shelton’s ‘Laggies’ to Feature Music by Benjamin Gibbard
Benjamin Gibbard is composing the music for the upcoming indie comedy Laggies. The film is directed by Lynn Shelton and stars Keira Knightley, Chloë Grace Moretz, Sam Rockwell, Ellie Kemper, Jeff Garlin and Mark Webber. The movie centers on a woman who is stuck in permanent adolescence and lies to her fiance about going on a retreat and instead hangs out with friends. Andrea Seigel has written the screenplay. Steve Golin (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Babel), Alix Madigan (Winter’s Tale, Girl Most Likely), Rosalie Swedlin (Red Corner) and Myles Nestel are producing the Anonymous Content production. Gibbard is best known as the lead singer of the indie rock bands Death Cab for Cutie and The Postal Service. The project marks his first major narrative feature film scoring feature assignment.
