Marc Maron and Tal Wilkenfeld have written and recorded an original track for the upcoming indie comedy drama Sword of Trust. The track will be featured during the end credits of the film directed by Lynn Shelton (Your Sister’s Sister, Laggies, Outside In) and starring Maron himself, Jon Bass, Michaela Watkins, Jillian Bell, Toby Huss, Dan Bakkedahl, Tim Paul and Whitmer Thomas.

Andrew Bird Scoring Lynn Shelton’s ‘Outside In’
Singer/songwriter Andrew Bird has composed the original music for the upcoming indie drama Outside In. The film is directed by Lynn Shelton (Your Sister’s Sister, Laggies) and stars Jay Duplass, Edie Falco, Kaitlyn Dever and Ben Schwartz. The movie follows an ex-con who is struggling to readjust to life in his small town and forms an intense bond with his former high-school teacher. Shelton also co-wrote the screenplay with Duplass. Mel Eslyn (Blue Jay, The One I Love) is producing the project with Lacey Leavitt.
‘Laggies’ Soundtrack Announced
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the indie comedy Laggies. The album features the film’s original music composed by Death Cab for Cutie lead singer Benjamin Gibbard. The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 4, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A physical version will be released later this year and is available for pre-order here. Lynn Shelton’s ‘Laggies’ to Feature Music by Benjamin Gibbard
Benjamin Gibbard is composing the music for the upcoming indie comedy Laggies. The film is directed by Lynn Shelton and stars Keira Knightley, Chloë Grace Moretz, Sam Rockwell, Ellie Kemper, Jeff Garlin and Mark Webber. The movie centers on a woman who is stuck in permanent adolescence and lies to her fiance about going on a retreat and instead hangs out with friends. Andrea Seigel has written the screenplay. Steve Golin (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Babel), Alix Madigan (Winter’s Tale, Girl Most Likely), Rosalie Swedlin (Red Corner) and Myles Nestel are producing the Anonymous Content production. Gibbard is best known as the lead singer of the indie rock bands Death Cab for Cutie and The Postal Service. The project marks his first major narrative feature film scoring feature assignment.
Vinny Smith to Reunite with Lynn Shelton on ‘Touchy Feely’
Vinny Smith is reuniting with director Lynn Shelton on the upcoming indie drama Touchy Feely. The film is written and directed by Shelton and stars Ellen Page, Rosemarie DeWitt, Allison Janney, Ellen Page, Ron Livingston, Scoot McNairy and Josh Pais. The movie follows a massage therapist who is unable to do her job when stricken with a mysterious and sudden aversion to bodily contact. Steven Schardt is producing the project. Smith has previously scored Shelton’s last two features Humpday and My Sister’s Sister and has also served as the sound mixer on both films. Touchy Feely will premiere in competition at next year’s Sundance Film Festival.
