The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 19, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring the composer’s music from the first season. Max Richter to Perform U.S. Tour Featuring Music from ‘The Leftovers’
Max Richter will embark on a U.S. mini tour which runs March 22 – 29, 2015. The composer will be performing compositions from HBO’s The Leftovers at select shows along with music from his various solo albums including The Blue Notebooks, Infra, and Vivaldi Recomposed live. First stop will be at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on March 22 (click here to buy tickets), followed by Le Poisson Rouge in New York on March 25 & 26 (click here for more information) and Big Ears in Knoxville, TN on March 28 & 29 (click here for more details). Richter’s music from the first season is available on WaterTower Music. The composer is returning to score the show’s second season, which is set to premiere this summer.

Max Richter has signed on to score the upcoming HBO original series The Leftovers. The show is created by Damon Lindelof (Lost, Prometheus, Star Trek) and Tom Perrotta (Little Children, Election) and stars Justin Theroux, Amy Brenneman, Christopher Eccleston, Liv Tyler and Ann Dowd. The series is based on Perotta’s book of the same title and takes place in the wake of a global “Rapture” and centers on the people who didn’t make the cut and are left behind in a suburban community. Peter Berg (Friday Night Lights, Lone Survivor) has directed the pilot episode. Lindelof, Perotta and Berg are also executive producing the Warner Bros. Television production with Sarah Aubrey (Battleship, Lars and the Real Girl), Ron Yerxa & Albert Berger (Little Miss Sunshine, Cold Mountain).
