WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album for Alfonso Cuaron’s sci-fi thriller Gravity. The album features the film’s original music composed by Steven Price (The World’s End, Attack the Block). The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 17, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check out audio clips after the jump. Gravity stars Sandra Bullock as a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission and George Clooney as a veteran astronaut in command of his last flight before retiring. The movie follows the astronauts as they fight to survive on a remote space station after satellite debris wipes out the rest of the crew and destroys most of the station. Milan Records will release a score album for the upcoming comedy drama Thanks for Sharing. The album features the film’s original music composed by Christopher Lennertz (Identity Thief, Revolution, Horrible Bosses). The soundtrack will be released on September 17, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label will also release a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the film. Thanks for Sharing is directed by Stuart Blumberg (screenwriter of The Kids Are All Right) and stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Mark Ruffalo, Tim Robbins, Josh Gad, Joely Richardson, Patrick Fugit and Alecia Moore. The movie revolves around a group of unlikely friends in a 12-step program for recovering sex addicts in New York City. Alec Puro has signed on to score the upcoming indie drama The One I Love. The film is directed by Charlie McDowell and stars Elisabeth Moss and Mark Duplass as a young couple with marital problems. Ted Danson is playing their therapist. Justin Lader has written the screenplay. Mel Eslyn (co-producer of My Sister’s Sister and Touchy Feely) is producing the project and Mark Duplass (Cyrus, Jeff Who Lives at Home) is executive producing. CJ E&M Music has released a soundtrack album for the post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller Snowpiercer. The album features the film’s original music composed by Marco Beltrami (World War Z, 3:10 to Yuma, Scream). The soundtrack is currently only available in Asia (visit YesAsia to order the CD as an import). No word yet on a domestic release date. Snowpiercer is directed by Bong Joon-ho (The Host) and stars Chris Evans, Song Kang-ho, Ed Harris, John Hurt, Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell, Octavia Spencer and Ewen Bremner. The movie marks the Korean director’s English-language debut and follows the surviving members of humanity as they struggle to survive amidst a world covered in ice on a supertrain where the poor and the rich are constantly at odds. Anton Monsted Named Senior Vice President of Fox Music

Twentieth Century Fox has hired music supervisor Anton Monsted as senior vice president of Fox Music. Monsted was previously general manager of Baz Luhrmann’s production company, Bazmark, and most recently served as executive music supervisor and co-producer of the director’s The Great Gatsby, co-producing the three soundtrack albums for the film. Monsted previously collaborated with Luhrmann on his three previous films for 20th Century Fox and their soundtrack album releases, including William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet, Moulin Rouge! and Australia. The announcement was made by Danielle Diego, Head of Fox Music.
‘The Matrix Reloaded’ Deluxe Soundtrack Edition Announced

La-La Land Records has announced the details of a new soundtrack edition for the Wachowski siblings’ 2003 sci-fi action sequel The Matrix Reloaded starring Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne and Carrie-Anne Moss. The album features the expanded and remastered score from the film composed by Don Davis (Jurassic Park 3, Bound, Antitrust) who also composed the music for the other two parts of The Matrix trilogy. Davis collaborated with Ben Watkins (aka Juno Reactor) on a couple of tracks that are also included on the release. The original 2003 soundtrack album featured less than half of the score featured in the Warner Bros. Pictures production. James Newton Howard’s Expanded ‘Wyatt Earp’ Score Released

La-La Land Records has released a new limited soundtrack edition for Warner Bros. Pictures’ 1994 western Wyatt Earp directed by Lawrence Kasdan and starring Kevin Costner, Dennis Quaid and Gene Hackman. The 3-CD set features the expanded film score composed by James Newton Howard (The Sixth Sense, The Hunger Games, King Kong) on the first two discs, as well as bonus and source cues and the original 1994 soundtrack album edits on the third disc. The release, which was supervised by the composer and producer/actor Kevin Costner is limited to 3000 copies. Raf Keunen is reteaming with director Michael R. Roskam to score the upcoming crime thriller Animal Rescue. The film stars Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace, Matthias Schoenaerts, James Gandolfini and John Ortiz. The movie is based on a short story by Dennis Lehane (Mystic River, Gone Baby Gone, Shutter Island) and follows a lonely Boston bartender who rescues a puppy from a garbage can and becomes the target of the dog’s abusive and mentally unstable former owner. Lehane has also written the screenplay and Peter Chernin & Dylan Clark (Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Oblivion) are producing the project for Chernin Entertainment, alongside Mike Larocca. Stanley Clarke is reuniting with director Malcolm D. Lee on the upcoming comedy The Best Man Holiday. The film stars Taye Diggs, Nia Long, Morris Chestnut, Harold Perrineau, Terrence Howard, Sanaa Lathan, Monica Calhoun, Melissa De Sousa and Regina Hall who all reprise their roles from the 1999 hit film, which marked Lee’s directorial debut. The movie follows the group of college friends as they reunite over the Christmas holidays. Lee has also written the screenplay amd is producing the project with Sean Daniel (The Mummy series, Dazed and Confused, The Wolfman).
