The film is directed by Charlie McDowell and stars Mark Duplass, Elisabeth Moss and Ted Danson. The movie follows a married couple on the brink of separation who – at the urging of their therapist – decide to escape to a beautiful vacation house for a weekend getaway in an attempt to salvage what’s left of their relationship. Justin Lader has written the screenplay and Mel Eslyn (My Sister’s Sister, Touchy Feely) is producing the project. tough-guys-dont-danceMusic Box Records has announced a new soundtrack release for the 1987 crime comedy drama Tough Guys Don’t Dance directed by Norman Wailer and starring Ryan O’Neal, Isabella Rossellini, Debra Sandlund, Wings Hauser and Lawrence Tierne. The album features the remastered and expanded score from the film composed by Angelo Badalamenti (Blue Velvet, Mulholland DriveTwin Peaks), including a number of previously unreleased cues. Also included are two songs co-composed with lyricists Danielle Badalamenti and Norman Mailer and performed by Mel and Pam Tillis. robert-duncanRobert Duncan has been hired to score the Lifetime original movie The Gabby Douglas Story. The film is directed by Gregg Champion (The Cowboy Way, Amish Grace) and stars Imani Hakim and Sydney Mikaylain the title role as the first African American ever to be named Individual All-round Champion in artistic gymnastics at the Olympics. Mikayla will portray Douglas during her childhood while Hakim will play the gold medalist as a teenager and young adult. Regina King has been cast as Douglas’ mother and S. Epatha Merkerson as her grandmother. The drama’s script written by Maria Nation (The Two Mr. Kissels). Zev Braun & Philip Krupp (Edges of the Lord, A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story) are executive producing the Sony Pictures Television production and David Rosemont (Lifetime’s Bonnie & Clyde) serves as a producer. ‘RoboCop’ Soundtrack Details

robocopSony Classical will release a soundtrack album for the sci-fi action adventure RoboCop. The album features the film’s original score composed by Pedro Bromfman (Elite Squad). The soundtrack will be released on February 4, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips can be checked out after the jump. RoboCop is directed by José Padilha and stars Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Abbie Cornish, Jackie Earle Haley, Michael K. Williams, Jennifer Ehle, Jay Baruchel, Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Samuel L. Jackson. The remake of the 1987 classic directed by Paul Verhoeven follows a Detroit police office who’s transformed into RoboCop after he’s critically injured in the line of duty. The film is directed by Shana Feste (Country Strong) and stars Alex Pettyfer, Gabriella Wilde, Robert Patrick, Bruce Greenwood, Rhys Wakefield, Dayo Okeniyi, Emma Rigby and Joely Richardson. The movie follows a privileged girl and a charismatic boy whose instant desire sparks a love affair made only more reckless by parents trying to keep them apart. turbo-fastThis past Tuesday, the animated series Turbo FAST premiered on Netflix. The show based on this summer’s animated feature from DreamWorks Animation is produced by Ben Kalina & Jennifer Ray and executive produced by Chris Prynoski and featuring the voices of Reid Scott and Ken Jeong who reprises his role from the feature film. Henry Jackman (X-Men: First Class, Wreck-It-Ralph) and Halli Cauthery (The East) have written the show’s original score. wojciech-kilarWojciech Kilar has passed away at age 81. The Polish composer was best known for his work for film, including the scores for Francis Ford Coppola’s Bram Stoker‘s Dracula, Jane Campion’s The Portrait of a Lady and three collaborations with Roman Polanski on movies including The Ninth Gate, The Death and the Maiden and The Pianist, for which he was honored with a BAFTA nomination and a Cesar Award. His other film scoring credits include James Gray’s We Own the Night, as well as numerous Polish film and TV productions. Kilar was born in 1932 and went on to study piano and composition and graduated from the State Higher School of Music in his hometown Katowice in Southern Poland. Amy Lowe Starbin has written the screenplay and Adi Ezroni & Mandy Tagger (A Late Quartet, The English Teacher) are producing the project for Spring Pictures.
