Universal Music will release a soundtrack album for the film adaptation of the musical London Road. The album features the film’s original music from the film composed by Adam Cork and performed by the film’s cast. The soundtrack will be released overseas on June 8, 2015. London Road is directed by Rufus Norris and stars Tom Hardy, Olivia Colman, Kate Fleetwood, Michael Shaeffer, Clare Burt and Nick Holder. The movie written by Alecky Blythe is based on her National Theatre musical of the same title and documents the events that shook Suffolk in 2006, when the quiet rural town of Ipswich was shattered by the discovery of the bodies of five women. Premiering tomorrow, June 2, is the ABC drama The Whispers created by Soo Hugh, executive produced by Steven Spielberg and starring Lily Rabe, Barry Sloane, Derek Webster, Milo Ventimiglia, Brianna Brown, Kylie Rogers, Kyle Harrison Breitkopf and Catalina Deni. The show’s original music is composed by Robert Duncan (Castle, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Last Resort, The Unit). The Whispers is based on the short story Zero Hour by Ray Bradbury and chronicles the race against the clock to defeat an unseen alien enemy out to achieve world domination using the planet’s most unlikely resource: the children. Also premiering tomorrow is the Lifetime original series UnReal created by Marti Noxon & Sarah Gertrude Shapiro and starring Shiri Appleby, Constance Zimmer, Craig Bierko, Freddie Stroma, Josh Kelly and Nathalie Kelley. Fil Eisler (Empire, Revenge, Shameless) has composed the show’s original music. UnReal is based on Shapiro’s short Sequin Raze and follows a young staff member on a hit competition dating show who does everything she can to help please the show’s executive producer. La-La Land Records will release the soundtrack album for the action thriller Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation. The album features the film’s original music composed by Joe Kraemer (Jack Reacher, The Way of the Gun) who follows Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer and Michael Giacchino as the fourth composer of the movie series. The soundtrack is set to be released physically on August 4, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The fifth installment in the Mission: Impossible series is directed by Christopher McQuarrie and stars Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Rebecca Ferguson, Alec Baldwin and Sean Harris. The first track is the main titles songs performed by the early 90’s New York band from the show called The Heathens (feat. Denis Leary), and will be released on July 16. ‘Pay the Ghost’ to Feature Music by Joseph LoDuca

Joseph LoDuca has recently composed the music for the upcoming supernatural thriller Pay the Ghost. The film is directed by Uli Edel (The Baader Meinhof Complex, Hotel Adlon) and stars Nicolas Cage, Sarah Wayne Callies, Veronica Ferres, Jack Fulton and Elizabeth Jeanne le Roux. The movie is based on a short story by Tim Lebbon and follows a hard-working NYU English professor bucking for tenure when his 8-year-old son mysteriously vanishes from a Halloween day parade. Daniel Kay (Timber Falls) wrote the screenplay. Elliot Goldenthal Presented with Kilar Award at Krakow Film Music Festival

Last night, Elliot Goldenthal was presented with the first ever Wojciech Kilar Award during the sold out Polish Music Gala: Scoring4Wajda concert in the ICE Krakow Congress Center at the Krakow Film Music Festival in Krakow, Poland. The Academy Award-winning composer’s longtime companion and entertainer, director Julie Taymor (Frida, Titus, Across the Universe, A Midsummer Night’s Dream) was also in attendance a the event. The Wojciech Kilar Award aims to raise the profile of the late Polish pianist/composer who is known for such scores as The Pianist and Bram Stoker’s Dracula and honors composers whose film work has a vigorous life beyond the screen. Johnny Klimek and Tom Tykwer are composing the score for the upcoming comedy drama A Hologram for the King. The film is directed by Tykwer (Run Lola Run, The International) and stars Tom Hanks, Sarita Choudhury, Omar Elba, Tracey Fairaway, David Menkin and Tom Skerritt. The movie is based on the novel by Dave Eggers takes place in an up-and-coming Saudi Arabian city that provides the backdrop for a foundering American businessman’s last-ditch effort to stave off bankruptcy, pay his daughters college fees, and finally accomplish something big.
