Joel J. Richard has signed on to score the upcoming ABC drama Quantico. The show is created by Joshua Safran (Endless Love, Gossip Girl, Smash) and stars Priyanka Chopra, Jake McLaughlin, Aunjanue Ellis, Yasmine Al Massri, Johanna Braddy, Tate Ellington and Graham Rogers. The series follows a group of young FBI recruits, all with specific reasons for joining, who battle their way through training at the Quantico base in Virginia. Matthew Margeson is set to score the upcoming biographical drama Eddie the Eagle. The film is directed by Dexter Fletcher (Sunshine on Leith, Wild Bill) and stars Taron Egerton, Hugh Jackman, Christopher Walken, Jo Hartley, Tim McInnerny and Ania Sowinski. The movie tells the story of ski jumper Michael Edwards who rose to fame as the very-last-place finisher in two events at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, but left as a scene-stealing poster boy for never-say-die underdogs everywhere. ‘The Slap’ Soundtrack Details

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the NBC event series The Slap. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Jon Ehrlich and Jason Derlatka (Parenthood, House, M.D., About a Boy). The soundtrack will be released digitally on July 24, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. A CD version is planned for later this year. Audio clips will be added to this article within the next few weeks. The Slap is directed by Lisa Cholodenko (The Kids Are All Right) and stars Peter Saarsgard, Thandie Newton, Uma Thurman, Zachary Quinto, Melissa George, Thomas Sadoski and Brian Cox. The series is based on the book by Christos Tsiolkas and centers on a once happy family that suddenly begins to fall apart following a seemingly minor incident in which a man slaps another couple’s misbehaving child. David Buckley is set to compose the music for the upcoming PBS original mini-series Mercy Street. The 6-parter is created by Lisa Q. The series follows the lives of two volunteer nurses on opposing sides of the Civil War – New England abolitionist Mary Phinney and Confederate supporter Emma Green. The movie is based on the novel by Pat Barker and follows a psychologist who reopens old wounds and an old case after he rescues a drowning person whom he helped convict twelve years earlier. Intrada Records has announced the world premiere release of the complete original score for the 2003 action comedy Agent Cody Banks directed by Harald Zwart and starring Frankie Muniz and Hilary Duff. The album features the film’s original music written by Academy Award-nominated composer John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon, The Bourne Identity, Happy Feet, Rio, Shrek).
