Premiering on Wednesday, December 20, is the Disney+ original series Percy Jackson and the Olympians developed by Rick Riordan & Jonathan E. Steinberg based on Riordan’s book series and starring Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries and Aryan Simhadri. Bear McCreary (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Outlander, The Walking Dead) has composed the themes for the show and Sparks & Shadows have provided the score. Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album this coming Friday, December 22. Premiering on Thursday, December 21, is the second season of the Peacock original anthology series Dr. Death written by Ashley Michel Hoban based on the Wondery podcast and starring Edgar Ramírez, Mandy Moore, Luke Kirby, Gustaf Hammarsten and Ashley Madekwe. The show’s original music is composed by Leopold Ross (Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, The Book of Eli, Death Note, Dispatches from Everywhere) & Nick Chuba (The Girl from Plainville, Operation Varsity Blues) who previously co-scored Season 1 with Atticus Ross. Gaumont has released a soundtrack album for the French comedy Christmas Unplanned (Noël Joyeux). The album features the film’s original music composed by Marc Chouarain (Galveston, Serial Bad Weddings, Breathe, Cerise). Gardener Recordings will release a soundtrack album for the DC animated movie Justice League: Crisis On Infinite Earths – Part One. The album features the film’s original music composed by Kevin Riepl (Superman: Man of TomorrowGreen Lantern: Beware My PowerCabin Fever,  Justice Society: World War II, The Night Crew). The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 9, 2023 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Chris Roe (Trigger PointBlue Jean, Mission Control: The Unsung Heroes of Apollo, After Love, Wolf, ArmstrongLancaster). Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the musical fantasy adventure Wonka directed by Paul King and starring Timothée Chalamet, Calah Lane, Hugh Grant, Keegan-Michael Key, Rowan Atkinson, Sally Hawkins, Jim Carter and Olivia Colman. The film’s original songs are written by Neil Hannon (of The Divine Comedy) and the movie’s original score is composed by Joby Talbot (SingThe Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Closed CircuitPenelope). Available to stream/download now on all major digital music platforms is Not My Fault performed by Reneé Rapp & Megan Thee Stallion who are also credited for co-producing/writing the track with Jeff Richmond, Nell Benjamin, Billy Walsh, Ryan Tedder, Alexander 23, Jasper Harris and Alexander Glantz. Madison Gate Records has released a new soundtrack album for the Netflix animated series Hilda. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s third and final season composed by Ryan Carlson (Abby Hatcher, Fuzzly Catcher). Also included is the song Uncrossed Path (as featured during the end credits of the series finale) performed by Frankie Cosmos, as as well as Bottom of the Sea performed by Raj Ghatak.
