Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack release for the 1985 action sequel Rambo: First Blood Part II directed by George P. Cosmatos and starring Sylvester Stallone, Richard Crenna, Charles Napier and Steven Berkoff. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith (Star Trek: The Motion Picture, The Omen, Planet of the Apes, Patton, L.A. Confidential) who previously scored the first movie in the franchise. The 2-CD set features the complete score on the first disc, as well as the 35mm three-channel mixes and several extras on the second disc. Edgar Wright’s ‘Baby Driver’ to Feature Music by Steven Price

Steven Price revealed in a recent interview with Collider that he has started work on Edgar Wright’s upcoming action crime comedy Baby Driver. No details about his exact involvement are known yet as the composer calls the project “not a traditionally scored film.” The movie written and directed by Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) stars Ansel Elgort, Lily James, Jamie Foxx, Jon Hamm, Jon Bernthal, Sky Ferreira and Kevin Spacey. The movie follows a young, talented getaway driver who is being being coerced into working for a crime boss and must face the consequences when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom. ‘Game of Thrones’ Live Concert Experience Announced

Live Nation Entertainment announced today the Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience. The show’s composer Ramin Djawadi (Iron Man, Pacific Rim, Warcraft) will participate in the concert tour with a full orchestra and choir. The concert experience produced and promoted by Live Nation in partnership with HBO Global Licensing, will use innovative music tour production and video technology that will recreate the various realms found throughout Westeros and Essos as well as showcase footage from the show in addition to all new imagery created exclusively for the tour, which will kick off on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 in Kansas City, Mo. and visit 28 cities across North America with shows scheduled at such venues as Madison Square Garden in New York City and the Forum in Los Angeles, as well as arenas in Montreal, Boston, Houston, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Washington DC & more. Mercury Classics to Release James Horner’s ‘Collage – The Last Work’

Mercury Classics will release James Horner‘s concert piece, Collage, which was the composer’s last work before he passed away last summer. The concerto for four horns and orchestra was commissioned by the Houston Symphony and the International Horn Society and premiered in March of 2015 at the Royal Festival Hall in London. Horner (Titanic, Avatar, A Beautiful Mind, Braveheart, Apollo 13, The Amazing Spider-Man) recorded the concert work with the London Philharmonic Orchestra just a few weeks before his passing. Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the superhero movie Suicide Squad directed by David Ayer and starring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Adam Beach, Karen Fukuhara and Viola Davis. The film’s original music is composed by Steven Price (Gravity, The World’s End, Fury). WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this coming Monday. RCA Records will release the official soundtrack album for Baz Luhrmann’s Netflix original series The Get Down. The album includes the music from the drama, including the songs performed the show’s cast featuring contributions from Elliott Wheeler, Grandmaster Flash and Nile Rodgers, as well as tracks by Nas, Miguel, Christina Aguilera, Zayn, Michael Kiwanuka, Leon Bridges, Jaden Smith, Raury & more. Luhrmann and Nas are executive producing the album. The soundtrack, set to be released on August 12, will be available in two different edition and is now available for pre-order on iTunes (regular edition) and here (deluxe edition). The full details of the soundtrack album for the Showtime original series Roadies have been announced today. The album features a selection of songs from the show by such artists as Lindsey Buckingham, The Head & the Heart, Reignwolf, John Mellencamp, Jim James (of My Morning Jacket), Eddie Vedder, Lucius & more. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on August 26, 2016 by Republic Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Roadies is created by Cameron Crowe and stars Carla Gugino, Luke Wilson, Imogen Poots, Rafe Spall, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Peter Cambor, Colson Baker, Ron White, Luis Guzman, Jacqueline Byers and Rainn Wilson.
