Rolfe Kent has recently composed the music for Disney’s upcoming family comedy Magic Camp. The film is directed by Mark Waters (The Spiderwick Chronicles) and stars Adam Devine, Gillian Jacobs, Jeffrey Tambor, Nathaniel McIntyre, Cole Sand, Isabella Crovetti, J.J. Totah, Izabella Alverez, Hayden Crawford, Bianca Grava and Lonnie Chavis. The movie revolves around the owner of a summer camp for aspiring young magicians and a former camper whose flailing career as a magician has forced him to return to the camp as a counselor. The Scottish post-rock band Mogwai is scoring the upcoming sci-fi thriller Kin. The film is directed by Jonathan & Josh Baker and stars Jack Reynor, James Franco, Zoe Kravitz, Carrie Coon and Dennis Quaid. The movie revolves around a man recently released from jail who is forced to go on the run with his adopted younger brother, protected by an ancient weapon they’ve found. John Debney Joins ‘The Orville’ Music Team

John Debney has joined the music team of Fox’s upcoming comedy drama The Orville and will score multiple episodes of the show created by Seth MacFarlane (Ted, Family Guy) who also stars in the series alongside Adrianne Palicki, Mark Jackson, Scott Grimes, Peter Macon, J Lee, Halston Sage and Penny Johnson. As previously reported, Bruce Broughton has already scored the pilot episode and composed the show’s theme (click here to listen to the track) and Joel McNeely (A Million Ways to Die in the West) is also scoring several episodes. Expanded ‘Waterworld’ & ‘Romancing the Stone’ Soundtracks Announced

La-La Land Records has announced the details of its latest soundtrack releases, including a new soundtrack for Universal Pictures’ 1995 action adventure Waterworld directed by Kevin Reynolds and starring Kevin Costner, Dennis Hopper and Jeanne Tripplehorn. The album features the expanded and remastered score from the movie composed by James Newton Howard (The Hunger Games, he Sixth Sense, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, King Kong), including the previously unreleased music and the movie’s original composer Mark Isham’s Music Box Theme . Soundtrack Album for NBC’s ‘This Is Us’ to Be Released

Universal Music will release a soundtrack album for the NBC hit drama This Is Us. The album features a selection of songs from the series by Paul Simon, Sufjan Stevens, Stevie Wonder, Wilco, Cat Stevens, Nick Drake, Ringo Starr & more, as well as Mandy Moore’s cover of Little Feat’s Willin‘. Also included is the original song We Can Always Come Back To This performed by Brian Tyree Henry and written by the show’s composer Siddhartha Khosla & singer/songwriter Chris Pierce, a suite from Khosla’s original score from the show, as well as two tracks from the composer’s band Goldspot. Filmtrax has released a soundtrack album for the psychological thriller Inconceivable. The album features the film’s original music composed by Kevin Kiner (CSI: Miami, Star Wars: Rebels, Hell on Wheels, Jane the Virgin, Star Wars: The Clone Wars). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. Inconceivable is directed by Jonathan Baker and stars Nicolas Cage, Gina Gershon, Faye Dunaway, Nicky Whelan and Natalie Eva Marie. The movie centers on a mother who looks to escape her abusive past by moving to a new town where she befriends another mother, who grows suspicious of her.
