Columbia Records will release the demo version of the original song I Promise You from the family comedy Peter Rabbit. The track is performed by Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig who also co-wrote the song with director Will Gluck and will be released as a digital single tomorrow, February 16 and will be available to download on Amazon. The label has previously released the version of the song performed by James Corden last week as a single, which also featured a score suite by Dominic Lewis. A full soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score is also in the works.

‘Peter Rabbit’ to Feature Original Songs by Ezra Koenig, Will Gluck & Theodore Shapiro
Vampire Weekend member Ezra Koenig and director Will Gluck have co-written an original song for the new family comedy Peter Rabbit. The track, entitled I Promise You, is featured in three different versions in the movie, including a version performed by James Corden (voice of the film’s lead character) and produced by Greg Kurstin, another one performed by Shana Halligan, Katharine Hoye, Fletcher Sheridan & Chris Mannas and produced by the film’s composer Dominic Lewis (The Man in the High Castle, Money Monster, Free Birds), as well as demo version performed by Koenig himself. Composer Theodore Shapiro (Ghostbusters, The Devil Wears Prada) co-wrote another original song, Small As Your Dreams, with Gluck.
Netflix’s ‘Neo Yokio’ Features Music by Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, BATHS, Dev Hynes & Jesse Novak
EDM producer and DJ Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (aka Orlando Tobias Edward Higginbottom) has composed the original music for the first episode of the new Netflix original series Neo Yokio. Jesse Novak (BoJack Horseman, The Mindy Project) has scored the second and sixth episode of the series and EDM artist BATHS (aka Will Wiesenfeld) composed the music for the third episode and also contributed a piece for the sixth episode. The anime series’ fourth episode features original music by singer/songwriter Dev Hynes (also known as Blood Orange).
