Premiering tonight is the National Geographic television special Symphony for Our World. Bleeding Fingers Music’s Austin Fray & Andrew Christie have composed the project’s original music and have also collaborated with the rock band X Ambassadors on several tracks. Premiering on Thursday, April 26, is the third season of the ABC drama Quantico created by Joshua Safran and starring Priyanka Chopra, Jake McLaughlin, Johanna Braddy, Russell Tovey, Alan Powell, Marlee Matlin and Blair Underwood. Clinton Shorter (District 9, Contraband, 2 Guns, The Expanse, Pompeii, Colony) is composing the original music of the third season and follows Joel J. Sony Classical will release the official score album for the superhero comedy sequel Deadpool 2. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, 300, John Wick, Atomic Blonde, Watchmen, Dawn of the Dead). It was announced today that Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Gladiator, The Lion King, The Da Vinci Code, Inception, The Thin Red Line) is the recipient of this year’s Max Steiner Film Music Achievement Award, which will be presented at the annual Hollywood in Vienna Concert Gala at Vienna Concert Hall on October 19, 2018.
