Quartet Records has announced a soundtrack album for the political thriller The Summit (La Cordillera). The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Alberto Iglesias (The Constant Gardener, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Kite Runner, Volver). The soundtrack is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also listen to audio samples. A digital version is set to come out on September 29 and can be pre-ordered on Amazon. The Summit is directed by Santiago Mitre and stars Ricardo Darin, Dolores Fonzi, Erica Rivas, Paulina Garcia, Alfredo Castro, Elena Anaya, Gerardo Romano and Daniel Gimenez Cacho. The movie revolves around the president of Argentina whose darkest past threatens to catch up with him at a three-day conference, forcing him to choose between his career and family. Atli Orvarsson is reteaming with director David M. Rosenthal on the upcoming action thriller How It Ends. The film starring Theo James, Kat Graham, Forest Whitaker and Kerry Bishe revolves around a mysterious apocalyptic event that turns the roads into mayhem, and follows a young father who will stop at nothing to get home to his pregnant wife on the other side of the country. Brooks McLaren wrote the Black List-honored screenplay. Paul Schiff (My Cousin Vinny, Rushmore), Tai Duncan (Into the Grizzly Maze), Kelly McCormick (Atomic Blonde) and Patrick Newall (The Keeping Room) are producing the project. Varese Sarabande has announced the full details of the soundtrack album for the Russian drama Loveless (Nelyubov). The album features the film’s original music composed by Evgueni Galperine and Sacha Galperine (The Family, The Wizard of Lies, The Past, Nine Lives). The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on November 10 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Loveless is directed by Andrey Zvyagintsev and stars Maryana Spivak, Alexey Rozin, Matvey Novikov, Marina Vasilyeva, Andris Keishs and Alexey Fateev. he movie follows a married couple in the midst of obtaining a divorce when their 12-year-old son vanishes. Dan Jones has been hired to compose the music for the upcoming BBC mini-series The Miniaturist. The period thriller is directed by Guillem Morales (Julia’s Eyes) and stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Romola Garai, Alex Hassell, Paapa Essiedu, Hayley Squires and Emily Berrington. The 3-parter is based on Jessie Burton’s best-selling novel of the same title and follows a woman who moves to live with her new husband in 17th Amsterdam, but soon discovers that not everything is what it seems. Kate Sinclair is executive producing the project for The Forge, alongside Elizabeth Kilgarriff (Poldark, Call the Midwife) for the BBC and Rebecca Eaton (Sherlock, Downton Abbey) for PBS’ Masterpiece. Marc Streitenfeld is composing the original music for the upcoming drama Come Sunday. The film is written and directed by Joshua Marston (Maria Full of Grace, Complete Unknown) and stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Martin Sheen, Jason Segel, Condola Rashad, Danny Glover and Lakeith Stanfield. The movie is based on a 2005 This American Life segment entitled Heretics and tells the story of a minister in Tulsa, Oklahoma, who loses his congregation of thousands following the revelation that he no longer believes in hell. Marcus Hinchey (All Good Things) wrote the screenplay. Ira Glass (Don’t Think Twice, Sleepwalk with Me), Alissa Shipp and James D. Stern (Looper, I’m Not There.) are producing the project. Premiering tonight is the PBS docu-series The Vietnam War directed by Ken Burns & Lynn Novick. Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Gone Girl, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and David Cieri have composed the show’s original score. Universal Music have released two soundtrack albums, including an album featuring Reznor’s & Ross’ score, as well as a separate album featuring the songs from the series by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Simon & Garfunkel & more. Premiering in the U.S. tomorrow is the British mini-series The State written and directed by Peter Kosminsky and starring Sam Otto, Ryan McKen, Shavani Cameron, Ony Uhiara and Nana Agyeman-Bediako. The 4-parter’s original music is composed by Debbie Wiseman (Wolf Hall, Father Brown, Vampire Killers). The show centers on the lives of four British citizens who join ISIS in Syria.
