Plaza Mayor Company will release a soundtrack album for the drama Inheritance. The album features the film’s original music composed and produced by Rafaël Leloup. The film is directed by Matt Aselton (Gigantic) and stars Theo James, Emily Ratajkowski, Fred Melamed, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Evan Handler and John Gatins. Velvet Machine Records and Genkaku No Oto have released a soundtrack album for the Chinese action movie Animal World. The album features the film’s original music composed by Neal Acree (Stargate SG-1, Overwatch, Starcraft II, Diablo III) and Michael Tuller (Nine Inch Nails, Lifeline). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples, and will also be available on iTunes soon. Animal World is directed by by Han Yan and stars Li Yifeng, Zhou Dongyu, Cao Bingkun, Wang Ge and Michael Douglas. The movie is based on the Japanese manga Ultimate Survivor Kaiji and follows an imaginative teenager who gets lured into a dangerous game of wits overseen by an icy arch-villain. Jeff Russo is set to reteam with writer/director/producer Noah Hawley on the upcoming sci-fi drama Pale Blue Dot. The film marks Hawley’s feature directorial debut and will star Natalie Portman, Jon Hamm, Zazie Beetz, Dan Stevens and Ellen Burstyn. The movie follows a female astronaut who, after coming back home from a mission in space, starts to unravel when confronted by her seemingly-perfect life. Brian C. Brown (Edge of Tomorrow, Get on Up) and Elliott DiGuiseppi have written the screenplay. Reese Witherspoon & Bruna Papandrea (Big Little Lies, Wild) are producing the Fox Searchlight production. Sky Germany and Bavaria Fiction have announced today that Matthias Weber is the composer of the Sky original limited series Das Boot and incorporated the classic theme from Wolfgang Petersen’s original 1981 Das Boot movie and the 1985 mini-series of the same title written by Klaus Doldinger into his score. The new show is directed by Andreas Prochaska and stars Vicky Krieps, Lizzy Caplan, Jonathan Zaccaϊ, Leonard Scheicher, Robert Stadlober, Tom Wlaschiha, Franz Dinda, Rick Okon, August Wittgenstein, Vincent Kartheiser, James D’Arcy,  Thierry Frémont, Rainer Bock and Stefan Konarske. The album features the songs from the second half of the show’s sixth and final season performed by cast members including Hayden Panettiere, Charles Esten, Clare Bowen, Sam Palladio, Jonathan Jackson, Maisy Stella, Chris Carmack, Rainee Blake, Ilse DeLange, Ronny Xox and Jake Etheridge. The film starring Mark Wahlberg, Rose Byrne, Octavia Spencer, Isabela Moner, Tig Notaro, Iliza Shlesinger and Tom Segura follows a couple who decides to start a family and adopt through the foster-care system, only to find themselves raising three wild kids who have no interest in being parented.
