bafta1 The British Academy of Film and Television has announced the nominations for the 2018 Orange British Academy Film Awards. The winners will be announced at the Orange British Academy Film Awards ceremony at the Royal Opera House in London on Sunday, February 18. For a full list of nominations, click here.

Intrada Records has announced a new expanded soundtrack album for the 1991 action adventure Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves directed by Kevin Reynolds and starring Kevin Costner, Morgan Freeman, Christian Slater, Alan Rickman, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Michael McShane and Nik Brimble. The album features the original music from the Warner Bros./Morgan Creek production composed and conducted by Michael Kamen (Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, X-Men, Band of Brothers), including around an hour of previously unreleased music, as well as alternate cues. Varese Sarabande has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the Nat Geo original mini-series The Long Road Home. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed and conducted by Emmy Award winner Jeff Beal (House of Cards, Monk, Rome, Pollock, Appaloosa, Carnivale). The soundtrack is now available to order as a limited edition 2-CD set on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples. A digital version is also expected to be released. The Long Road Home is developed by Mikko Alanne and stars Michael Kelly, Jason Ritter, Kate Bosworth, Sarah Wayne Callies, Jeremy Sisto and Noel Fisher, Jon Beavers, E.J. Clark Scoring Channel 4’s & Hulu’s ‘Kiri’

Clark (aka Chris Clark) has composed the music for the new Channel 4 mini-series Kiri. The show is created by Jack Thorne (National Treasure, A Long Way Down, Glue) and stars Sarah Lancashire, Lia Williams, Steven Mackintosh, Lucian Msamati and Felicia Mukasa. The 4-part drama tells the story of the abduction and death of a young black girl, named Kiri, who is soon-to-be-adopted by her white foster family. The full details of the soundtrack album for Fifty Shades Freed have been announced. The album features songs by Hailee Steinfeld x BloodPop, Miike Snow, Black Atlass feat. Jessie Reyez, Julia Michaels, Whethan & Dua Lipa, Bishop Briggs, as well as Liam Payne’s & Rita Ora’s For You, which is already available as a single. Also included are two tracks from the movie’s original score composed by Danny Elfman (Batman, Spider-Man, Alice in Wonderland) who previously scored the first two installments. The soundtrack will be released on February 9, 2018 and is now available for pre-order here (digital version) and here (CD version). golden-globesAlexandre Desplat has received his second Golden Globe Awards in the Original Score category for Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water. He previously received a Golden Globe for his music for The Painted Veil. Check out the composer’s acceptance speech after the jump. The other composers nominated in the Best Original Score category were Carter Burwell (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri), Jonny Greenwood (Phantom Thread), John Williams (The Post) and Hans Zimmer (Dunkirk). ‘Proud Mary’ Soundtrack Details

Madison Gate Records will release a soundtrack album for the action thriller Proud Mary. The album features the film’s original music composed by Fil Eisler (Empire, Revenge, How to Be Single, CHiPs, To the Bone, Unreal). The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 12 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Proud Mary is directed by Babak Najafi and stars Taraji P. Henson, Billy Brown, Jahi Di’Allo Winston and Danny Glover. The movie follows a hit woman working for an organized crime family in Boston, whose life is completely turned around when she meets a young boy whose path she crosses when a professional hit goes bad. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Roque Banos (Don’t Breathe, Evil Dead, The Machinist, Risen, Oldboy, Sexy Beast). Alex Heffes has composed the original score for the first couple of episodes of the new ITV drama Next of Kin. The show is created by Paul Rutman (Indian SummersVera) & Natasha Narayan and stars Archie Panjabi and Jack Davenport. The 6-part series follows a Mona, a whip-smart GP who lives in London with a political lobbyist husband. Their family life is shattered when Mona’s brother is brutally murdered while working for a medical charity abroad. Justin Chadwick (The Other Boleyn Girl) has directed the first three episodes.
