Netflix Music has released the Lizzie Borden Took an Axe rhyme from the streamer’s limited series Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story. The track, which stems from a sensationalized 1894 newspaper jingle created in the wake of Borden’s real-life trial that children later adopted as a playground chant, is arranged by Casey Trela and performed by the LYC Voices conducted by Ben Parry. Visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download the rhyme and also listen to the song after the jump. The label has previously released a full soundtrack album featuring Bryce Dessner’s original score from the show last month. Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story is created by Ian Brennan and stars Ella Beatty, Vicky Krieps, Charlie Hunnam, Rebecca Hall, Jessica Barden, Joey Pollari, Billie Lourd and Sarah Paulson. The fourth installment in the Monster anthology series is now available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
