Robert Glasper (The Photograph, Miles Ahead, The Big Cigar, The Best Man: The Final Chapters, Bel-Air) has been hired to score the upcoming drama Miles & Juliette. He also serves as the music producer of the film, which is directed by Bill Pohlad (Love & Mercy, Dreamin’ Wild) and stars Damson Idris as Miles Davis, Anamaria Vartolomei as Juliette Gréco, J. Alphonse Nicholson as Kenny “Klook” Clarke, Terrace Martin as Charlie “Bird” Parker, Jay Reeves as Tadd Dameron, Lodric D. Collins as Max Roach, Denny Love as James Moody and Hubert Point-Du Jour as John Coltrane.The movie follows Davis as a 22-year-old on a transformative trip to Paris in 1949, where he meets and falls in love with Gréco, the French singer and actress then emerging as the face of the postwar Left Bank. Zora Howard (Premature) wrote the screenplay. Pohlad is also producing the River Road Entertainment with Andrew Van Wyk, alongside Kim Roth (American Made, Mudbound) and Dan Clifton (Oh, Hi!, The Boy Downstairs), as well as Mick Jagger & Victoria Pearman (Get on Up, Vinyl) or Jagged Films. Miles & Juliette has just started production in Paris and is expected to premiere next year. (Deadline)
