The Newton Brothers are reuniting with Mike Flanagan on the upcoming Netflix original series The Haunting of Hill House. The show is a modern re-imagining of Shirley Jackson’s classic 1959 novel and stars Michiel Huisman, Carla Gugino, Henry Thomas, Elizabeth Reaser, Kate Siegel, Timothy Hutton, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Lulu Wilson, Victoria Pedretti, Paxton Singleton, Julian Hilliard, Violet McGraw and Mckenna Grace. Flanagan is writing and directing the 10-parter and is also executive producing the Paramount Television and Amblin Television production with his producing partner Trevor Macy (The Raven, The Bye Bye Man), as well as Darryl Frank & Justin Falvey (The Americans, Falling Skies).  Read the rest of this entry »

The original end credits song Not Alone from Jennifer Morrison’s feature directorial debut Sun Dogs has been released. The film’s composer Mark Isham (Once Upon a Time, Crash, A River Runs Through It) has produced the song, which is written by Julia Morrison Summers and performed by Morisson Summers, Isham, composer/guitarist Bryce Jacobs (Drive Hard, Random Tropical Paradise) and Grammy Award-winning violinist Charlie Bisharat. Jeff Danna (The Good Dinosaur, The Boondock Saints, Storks, Tyrant, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus) has been tapped to score the upcoming Netflix and DreamWorks Animation Television series 3 Below. The show is created by Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water, Pan’s Labyrinth, Pacific Rim) and follows two royal teen aliens who crash land on Arcadia and struggle to blend in as they evade intergalactic bounty hunters. The project marks the second series in del Toro’s Tales of Arcadia trilogy following Netflix’s Trollhunters, which is scored by Tim Davies and features themes by Alexandre Desplat. Opening in most theaters is the horror thriller A Quiet Place directed by John Krasinski and starring Krasinski himself, Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe.
