Filmtrax will release a soundtrack album for Simon Baker’s directorial debut Breath. The album features the film’s original music composed by Harry Gregson-Williams (The Chronicles of Narnia, The Martian, Shrek, Kingdom of Heaven, Man on Fire). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 25 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Breath is co-written and directed by Baker who also stars in the movie alongside Samson Coulter, Ben Spence and Elizabeth Debicki. The full details of the soundtrack album for the action thriller Hotel Artemis have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Cliff Martinez (Drive, Traffic, Contagion, The Knick, Game Night, The Neon Demon). Also included is a song by Father John Misty. The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 8, 2018 by Lakeshore Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Hotel Artemis is written and directed by Drew Pearce and stars Jodie Foster, Sterling K. Brown, Sofia Boutella, Jeff Goldblum, Brian Tyree Henry, Jenny Slate, Zachary Quinto, Charlie Day and Dave Bautista. The film is directed by Marc Forster (Finding NeverlandWorld War ZMonster’s Ball) and stars Ewan McGregor, Hayley Atwell, Bronte Carmichael, Mark Gatiss, Jim Cummings, Chris O’Dowd, Brad Garrett, Toby Jones, Nick Mohammed, Peter Capaldi and Sophie Okonedo. John Powell accepting the Henry Mancini Award

Last night, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) held its annual Screen Music Awards at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. John Powell (Solo: A Star Wars Story, The Bourne Identity, Happy Feet, Shrek) was honored with the ASCAP Henry Mancini Award for his outstanding achievements and contributions to the world of film and television music. The composer was presented the award by Dean DeBlois, director of How to Train Your Dragon, for which Powell received his first Academy Award nomination and who is currently working with the composer on the third part of the animated franchise. Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for the thriller In Darkness. The album features the film’s original music composed by Niall Byrne (Cairo Time, Parked, Hatton Garden). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 25 and will be available to download on Amazon. In Darkness is directed by Anthony Byrne and stars Natalie Dormer (who also co-wrote the screenplay), Ed Skrein, Emily Ratajkowski, Neil Maskell, Jan Bijvoet, James Cosmo and Joely Richardson. The movie follows a blind pianist who gets pulled into London’s dark underbelly after she overhears a struggle in the apartment above hers that leads to the death of her neighbor. Leo Birenberg is scoring DreamWorks Animation’s upcoming series Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny. The show based on the studios’ feature film franchise revolves around four panda kids who stumble upon a mystical cave beneath Panda Village, accidentally absorbing the chi of ancient and powerful kung fu warriors known as the Four Constellations, and must realize a destiny to save the world from an evil force. Mitch Watson (All Hail King Julien), Elliott Owen and Lane Lueras are producing the project. Mute Records has announced a soundtrack album for the drama 1/1. The album features the film’s original music by the rock band Liars (aka Aaron Hemphill and Angus Andrews) who are making their film scoring debut on the project. The soundtrack will be released on July 17, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A track from the album is already available to download. Check out the music video after the jump. 1/1 is written and directed by Jeremy Phillips and stars Lindsey Shaw, Judd Nelson and Dendrie Taylor. This week, Laura Rossi is recording her score for the upcoming historical drama Hurricane. The film is directed by David Blair (Away, Best Laid Plans) and stars Iwan Rheon, Milo Gibson, Stefanie Martini, Kristof Hadek and Marcin Dorocinski. The movie tells the story of Lt. Johnny Kent, a Canadian flight lieutenant who led the newly formed Royal Air Force 303 squadron of Hawker Hurricane fighter planes flown by Polish pilots at the height of the Battle of Britain during World War II.
